Air-cooled chiller (or heat pump) central air conditioning take air as cooling and heating source,not subject to and without any pollution to water resource, it means that, environmentally friendly; Multifunctional units can serve summer as cooling mode and winter as heating model,which increase the annual use rate of the units.When summer came,cooling tower and cooling recycling system are unnecessary due to Air-cooled heat exchanger are applied to units,which, especially, play an important role in water-deficient region. While winter came, the air side heat exchanger exchanges heat with ambient,that is,the heating efficiency is two or three time as large as the electric heating,obviously,so much energy source can be saved. It is so convenient for both of the installation and maintenance that without any cooling system and could be installed on the roof top.Compare with the normally chiller,the room kept the chiller can be saved,Moreover, the units can be commission normally even if at ambient temperature range from -16℃then 45℃.According to widely using Air-cooled chiller (heat pump)central air conditioning units, increasing number of the failure modes had been collecting relating to such units occurred during commission,with the brain-storm, Plato and other analytical tool being applied, sharpen focus on the three failure mode analysis:compressor piston crack, heat-exchanger leakage, and electrical control system malfunction. Thanks to the fish bone diagram tool being carried out,all kinds of the possibility involved in the three failure mode can be identified,. The thermodynamics, macro-and micro-mechanical analysis, related theories of refrigeration and air conditioning knowledge and exclusive method are put into use to find out the main reason of the failure,and confirm the root cause by the way of experiment at last. and then,effective solutions are implemented on job site and similar problems are prevented recurrence.
