Belt scale is an importance weighing apparatus. It has been widely used on the industrial spots, for instance, the ingredients and the quantitative packing of products because it has such advantages as dynamic and automatic on-line measurement. Not only can belt scale play a role in downsizing for efficiency, retrenching for income and reducing errors, but also it can improve the management and the productivity and decrease working intensity so as to considerably raise the degree of automation in production. In recent decades, great progress has been made in China in the technology and production of weighing sensors and display controllers, and the output and quality of homemade electric belt scale has been also continuously improved. The study intends to make some improvements on the meter of electric belt scale on the basis of the original technology. The 32-bit DSP processor made by TI company is at the core of the weighing device designed in this study. As to the collection of analog quantity, a high precision Delta-Sigma AD conversion chip is adopted. The device employs a fast and reliable Ethernet Interface to correspond with the host computer, keeps the original RS232 communication interface and uses a large-screen colorful LCD module with multi-level Chinese menu display as the human-machine interface. The design of the software mainly bases on an embedded operating system namedμC/OS-II. Initially expounding on some basic concepts concerned withμC/OS-II and then introducing the multi-task division of the apparatus, this paper puts much emphasis on the transplantation of TCP/IP protocol in the Ethernet communication and the realization of the human-machine interface.
