Described the current research status of the kinematics of automotive suspension system, through the specific classification and analysis of the automotive independent suspension system, MacPherson suspension system was chosen to be analyzed. After the specific analysis of the structural and dynamic characteristics of MacPherson suspension system, a virtual prototype model was built. Once the model was established, a kinematics simulation analysis can be done to provide a great foundation for the further research and development of the automotive suspension system.First of all, through the analysis of the structure, arrangement and dynamic characteristics of the MacPherson suspension, and based on the modeling method for assembly design, a virtual prototype model was accomplished by the assembly design of the 3D models of this suspension system.Second, based on CATIA DMU Kinematics and the definition of the assembly and dynamic constraints between the components of the MacPherson suspension, a simulation mechanism was established for further kinematics simulation. In the end, the MacPherson suspension mechanism was driven by the up and down movements of the wheels. Through the analysis and simulation of the dynamic characteristics of this mechanism, a conclusion was drawn for the further research and development of the automotive suspension system. |
