There are three large open pit mine in Pingshuo mining area that are Antaibao opencast mine, Anjialing open colliery and the under construction east open pit mine. At present, the mining area formed of Antianbao south dumping sit, west dumping sit, west expended dumping sit, inner dumping sit and Anjialing mining reclamation area. This experiment sampling in Anjialing mine reclamation area. The Astragalus reclamation land of the Chinese herb planting area in the reclamation area is the main study object comparing with the other three sample slot (including the natural recovering area, the alfalfa filed and the un-reclaimed land) and the undamaged agricultural land in village near the study-area. Adopt the way of field investigation, sampling and laboratory analysis to deeply studied the physical and chemical properties of the soil in this area and Analysis and comprehensive evaluation of soil quality. To study the changes of soil physical, chemical properties and microorganisms in astragalus reclamation land in order to provide scientific basis for the recovery and utilization of reclaimed soil.This study tested the quality of astragalus in reclamation land according to the regulations of the pharmacopoeia of astragalus membranaceus detection index, and establishes the nutrition proportion plan for the growth of Astragalus according to the accumulation and nutrition of the growth stages of Astragalus. The results are hoped to develop a standardized cultivation technology which is in line with the environmental characteristics of reclamation areas and provide quality Astragalus resources for the market. The main results are as follows:1. In terms of changes of soil physical and chemical properties, comparing with natural recovering area and the un-reclaimed land, the soil bulk density and soil texture of Astragalus reclamation land were improved. The contents of soil nutrient in the research area were low, the effective nutrient supply was insufficient, and the pH value showed that the study area was alkaline. The organic matter, total nitrogen, total potassium, total phosphorus, available phosphorus and available phosphorus in the study area were higher than those in natural recovering area and the un-reclaimed land and the main nutrient components were lower than the non damaged farmland and alfalfa reclamation land.2. In terms of changes in the nature of soil microbial, the number of bacteria was the highest, the actinomycetes followed, the fungus was the least. To lateral horizontal comparing, the number of microbial in Astragalus land is better than that in the un-reclaimed land and the natural recovery, but lower than that in the alfalfa and the non damaged farmland. To longitudinal comparing, soil microbial quantity of topsoil is greater than what in the lower soil.3. In terms of Astragalus formula fertilization program, the accumulation of the upper substances in the plant was mainly in July. At this time, the highest content of nitrogen phosphorus and potassium was 3.33%,0.27%,2.45%. The accumulation of its roots was mainly in July after, the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium increased continuously. Astragalus plant growth needs about 2.36 g of nitrogen,2.28g of phosphorus, and 1.34 g of potassium every year.4. In the terms of the quality of Astragalus, the indexes of the Astragalus in the reclamation area completely met the Pharmacopoeia standards which can provide the basis for the soil quality and Astragalus growth in the reclamation area.
