With the development of computer technology, virtual reality technology has been widelyapplied in various field. In combination with the agricultural aspects, not only provide users witha good platform for the display of agricultural appearance, which allows users an intuitiveunderstanding of the whole structure of farm machinery through the computer, can also observethe agricultural machinery performance characteristics with a full range from the motionsimulation point of view, to grasp how it works and the movement.This paper through collecting the information of sprinkler vehicle field operations, select thesprinkler vehicle model exist in the farm demonstration projects for study, making a completesprinkler vehicle field operations simulation system. The total production of content is dividedinto four areas:(1) Sprinkler vehicle model processing. Using3ds Max software to optimize and consummatethe model, including process vertices and faces, add materials, name the equipment, adjustmentthe axis.(2) Mechanical motion simulation. through the Unity3D software complete the sprinklervehicle motion simulation. The first part is the spraying arm open and collapsed simulation. Onthe basis of observing and analysis of the arm parent-child relationships, describes two methods:using Animation Curve combined with script for simple static simulation or complete thecomplex dynamic real-time simulation by analysis the mathematical relationship between edgesand corners. The second part is simulate the sprinkler vehicle field driving. Selecting thewheelcollider, combine C#language can simulate an operational driving system with the realisticphysics engine, allows users control sprinkler vehicle driving through the keyboard.(3) Complete the spraying effect. By setting the particle system make water flow effect, withwriting scrip obtain the land information to replace the ground material method,achieve thesimulation of the ground generated physical changes in water spraying process.(4) The simulation system interface design. Using Unity3D official plugin NGUI, making aclean interactive interface and complete camera follows function, allowing users have a fullunderstand range of sprinkler vehicle field operations background and the working process.Sprinkler vehicle virtual simulation designed of this study provide the users with a workableprototype farm machinery, can not only offer services for agricultural teaching and research,canalso be used for agricultural machinery, tourism and training.
