Peanut seeds were soaked in brassinolide for 24 hours, the decomposition of fat and protein in the germinating seeds was promoted, the content of fatty acid in the germinating seeds and the amino acid in the seedlings and the activity of roots all were enhanced. So the percentage of peanut sprouts and the growth of seedlings were promoted. Brassinolide could decrease the decomposition of chlorophyll and the fat of plasmer membrance in the seedlings after chilling stress (4?) treatment for 5 days , resulted in the content of MDA and the leakage of electrolytes decreased obviously The development of seedlings by suitable concentration of brassinolide trearment was significantly better than the control after returned to the temperature (18~22) for 5 days.The treatments with suitable concentration of brassinolide sprayed on leaves of peanut at seedling stage could increase the contents of chlorophyll and protein in leaves, enhance the activity of the roots and POD. So the development of the plants was promoted , the height of the stems ,the length of the first pair of branches, thequantity of branches , the fruit needles and the dry weight of plants all higher than the control.The treatments with suitable concentration of brassinolide sprayed on leaves of peanut at blossom stage could promote obviously the activity of nitrate reeducates and the content of dissoluble protein and dissoluable sugar in leaves, and increase the activity of roots. Four weeks after sprayed brassinolide , the fresh weight and dry weight per leaf-area and per plant all increased. At harvest , the quantity of pod, the percentage of plump pod and the yield per plant were all higher than the control, resulted in higher peanut yield.
