Fauna is the insect integer that developed in definite history condition by geographic isolation. It consists of some species that have overlapping distribution and specific classify. It contains insect taxonomy, ecology, entomography and paleobiology.Author has done some supplementary investigation and referred to a large number of data on the ground of former study which was made by Hunan Agricultural University, Hunan Agricultural office and Hunan Institute of teaology from 1986 to 1992, and make further investigation, check-up, revision and supplement the previous list. It is cleared that there are as many as 302 tea insect pests in Hunan tea plantation, which belongs to 72 families of 12 orders of 2 classes. Among the 302 species of teainsect pests, the lepidopterous insects are the largest group, amount to 101 species, as 33.44% of the total numbers. Homopterous insects arrange in the next, amount 81 species, as 26.82% of the total. There were 39 species coleopterous insects recorded of the total. If it is classified with the damaged position on tea plant, the number of insect pests damaging the shoots and leaves of tea plant is the most, amount to 240 species, as 79.47% of the total. 30 species of insect pests were record to damage the roots of tea plant, as 9.93% of the total.Within in the animal fauna of the world, the species from Oriental region occupy the largest proportion. Added the other species related with it, Oriental region species is as high as 95.14%. Therefore, the fauna of Hunan tea plant pest insect belongs to Oriental region. In the animal geographical plot of in China, the Southern+ center +Southwestern China species occupy the largest proportion.Quantity taxonomy is firstly used in analysis the geographical region of tea plant insect pest in Hunan, through calculated the Proximity Matrix, dissimilarity matrixand used Hierarchical Cluster Analysis. Author suggests that the geographical region of tea plant insect pest in Hunan be divided into four regions: the plain and hill region around lake of northern Hunan, the hill and mountainous region of Southern Hunan, the hill region of center-eastern Hunan, the mountainous region of western Hunan. The conclusion accords with geographical features of Hunan.Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to spatial display and query, factor analysis, visualization of spatial modeling, etc. Application of GIS in Integrated Pest Management is a recent developing domain in insect studies. GIS can exert function in three aspects: (1) Analysis of spatial dynamics and modeling by function of GIS software. (2) Building of statistical GIS model by thematic maps from environmental, meteorological, cultivation system, pest variables. (3) Building of Coupled GIS/Simulation modeling. GIS is applied to analysis the distribution of Aleurocanthus spiniferus (Quaintance), Ectropis grisscens Warren and Basilepta melanopus Lefevre in Hunan province, and applied to depict the region distribution and damage degree graph.
