Study On Scale Insect Fauna Of Beijing Area

Scale insect is one of the major pest species groups which live on fruits,forests,avenue greenbelts and omamental plants.The author collected the specimens in parks, natural reserves, beauty spots and greenhouses in Beijing area. Basing on the extensive collection of data,the author listed the names of scale insects of Beijing area,analyzed fauna component of scale insects in Beijing. The results show that:(1)There are 114 species belonging to 11 families in Beijing area that are 11.1% of species group and 68.8% families group in China.(2)3 families and 16 species are first recorded in Beijing.One specie is a newly recorded (Asterodiaspis iliciola Targioni-Tozzetti) to China. The first recorded families in Beijing are Ortheziidae,Aclerdidae and Beesoniidae.The first recorded species in Beijing are Orthezia urticaeFerris, Coccura convexa Borchsenius, Heliococcus zizyphi Borchsenius, Maconellicoccus hirsutus Green, Peliococcus shanxiensis Wu, Trionymus bambusae Green, Neoasterodiaspis castaneae Russell, Pulvinariabetulae Linnaeus, Rhodococcus sariuoni Borchsenius, Aclerda sasae Borchsenius, Nipponaclerda biwakoensis Kuwana, Chionaspis montana Borchs, Chionaspis saitamaenis Kuwana, Lepidosaphespini Maskell, Beesonia napiformis Kuwana.(3)There are six faunistic coponents,which are cosmopolite species,oriental speices,oriental-palearctic species,endemic speices,east-asia species and palearctic species.And the most one is palearctic species which are 33.3% of the group,the less one are oriental-palearctic species and oriental-palearctic species which is 6.6% of the group.The oriental speices are 19 which are 23.5%,the endemic speices are 13 which are 16.0%,and the cosmopolite species are 12 which are 14.8%.
