The litter traits of sows including litter size, number born alive, piglet weight at birth, litter weight at birth, litter size at weaning, piglet weight at weaning, weaning weight of litter and litter livability of 1616 litters of Landrace X Yorkshire (LY) sow in different months were tested and analysed. The results showed that performances of the litter traits in high temperature month were the lowest, example in August. And the number born alive, litter weight at birth, litter size at weaning, piglet weight at weaning, weaning weight of litter and litter livability among different mating months were significant (P<0.05) or high significant (P<0.01),but the litter size, piglet weight at birth were not significant in different mating months (P>0.05). The effect of litter livability was high significant (PO.01) and reached the highest value in October (98.79%) and the lowest in July (95.98%),the number born alive had the highest value in October (11.68) and the lowest value in August (10.75),so did the piglet weight at weaning (79.20kg in October and 69.23kg in August). The litter weight at birth had the highest value in November (14.44kg) and the lowest value in August (13.12kg). The results also showed there were significant (P<0.05) or high significant correlation among number born alive, litter weight at birth, litter size at weaning, piglet weight at weaning, weaning weight of litter and litter livability. By path analysis, the direct effect of number born alive on weaning weight of litter is the biggest(0.7955),and the indirect effect of litter size at weaning on weaning weight of litter is the biggest (1.2978).
