| A 6X6 Latin squre design was used to evaluate the energy and amino acid availability of common feedstuffs for egg-laying duck. According to 6 6 Latin squre design table, six egg-type drakes of the similar health & body weight were selected and fed rapeseed meal, cottonseed meal, rice, broken rice, wheat middlings or wheat bran during each of the six term. The experiment protocol included seven terms. For the first one, all the six drakes were fasted for 32h, then collected excreta for 32h, which was used to measure endogenous amino acids. For other six terms, each drake was fed one of the above feedstuffs. The drake was force-fed one feedstuffs after fasting 8h and the intake was 5% of the live weight. Then fasting for 32h, it was force- fed and fasted 32h again, and the excreta was collected during this 32h. During fasting, each day was supplied to 25g glucose each drake. The recovery time between terms was 9 days. The whole experiment was 84 days.The TME of six single feedstuffs was respectively 17.72±0.17MJ/kg for broken rice, 15.12±1.05MJ/kg for rice, 15.06±0.84MJ/kg for wheat middling, 10.18±0.84MJ/kg for cottonseed meal, 9.79±1.80MJ/kg for rapeseed meal, 7.26±0.47MJ/kg for wheat bran; the responsive AME was 16.27±0.15 MJ/kg for broken rice, 13.72±0.91MJ/kg for rice, 13.66±0.73MJ/kg for wheat middling, 8.83±0.75MJ/kg for cottonseed meal, 8.32±1.79MJ/kg for rapeseed meal, 5.82±0.32MJ/kg for wheat bran.The TAAD of six single feedstuffs was respectively 99.34±7.63% for broken rice, 96.16±7.74% for wheat middling, 94.36±10.61% for rice, 89.76±8.53% for cottonseed meal, 87.56±7.95% for rapeseed meal, 80.57± 8.76% for wheat bran; the responsive AAAD was 93.52±4.34% for broken rice, 87.45±8.61% for cottonseed meal, 85.68±7.32% for wheat middling, 84.91±8.60% for rice, 83.89±7.63% for rapeseed meal, 5.82±0.32kJ/g for wheat bran.Compared the results of these feedstuffs of drakes with cockerels, theresults show that the ME and availabilities of amino acids of drakes are higher than that of cockerels and significant difference between drakes and cockerels. At the same time, the study shows that different feedstuffs, fiber type and fiber levels can affect the availabilities of DM, CP, ME and AA by the TME method. Morever, the TME method don't suit to the measurement the availability of nitrogen. |
