To discuss nutritional quality, health care and pharmacology values of the mushroom Leccinum extremioientale Sing., the chemical constituents of the mushroom are studied in the dissertation including the recent studies of compounds from the mushroom Boletaceae and the statement about ergosterols in mushroom.13 components from the fruit bodies of the mushroom Leccinum extremioientale Sing, are isolated by traditional two times extractations in CH3C1 and CHC13/CH3OH(1:1), a series of chromatographic separations and purification in silica gel columns, reverse-phase (RP-8) column and recrystallization, etc. 13 compounds consists of ergosterol, ergosterol peroxide, ergosta-4, 6, 8(14), 22-tetraen-3-one, ergosta-5, 7-dien-3p-ol, ergosta-7, 22-dien-3p, 5a, 6p-triol, cerebroside B, cerebroside D, (2S, 3S, 4R, 2'R)-2-(2'-hydroxytetracosanoylamino) octadecane-1, 3, 4-triol, palmitic acid, uracil, inosine, adenosine and D-allitol. Their structures are determined on the basis of chemical evidence and spectral methods. Further, ergosterol, ergosterol peroxide, cerebroside B and adenosine have different strong pharmacological activities. They affirm the values of the mushroom, may be the theoretical evidence of further study in related fields and of the utilization of the fungus Leccinum. The chemical constituents of the fruit body of Basidiomycetes from Leccinum. are not reported in previous communication.
