Assortment And Application Of Foliage Trees In Urban Rrevegetation Within Northeast Of China

from the view of aesthetics, the color of ornamental plant is the most important fact in landscape design. Color type and grade of many ornamental trees and shrubs are dependent on their leaf color. So leaf color is regarded as the creator of garden hue. Ornamental trees and shrubs, especially those with colored leaves are worthy to be enjoyed, they have many characteristic features superior to herbage and other ligneous plant. But the application of them are not popular , and we haven' t attached importance to these trees. With an eye on present situation of the foliage trees' applacation, we investigated the foliage species in Shenyang and Haerbin , do some phenological observations , and summarize divers foliage trees which can be used in landscape design. We looked into the agents that influnce leaf color from the view of physiologic and ecologic and found the intrinsic factor that influnce leaf color-pigments potent, moisture content and photosynthesis of leaves, and the extrinsic factor-air temperature, light, wind, water supply and some anthropogenic factors. Pigments potent and air temperature are are more important than other factors. The color changing of foliage trees' leaf resulted from these comprehensive factors, We must fully respect them in landscape design. Meanwhile, we should make of the bionomics and ecologic habitus of these trees, and make sure to let them show vivid colors and the most beautiful landscape effictiveness in urban environment, ensure the landscape designs more scientific and artistic.
