| Electrolyte is mostly comprised of several elements such as natrium.kalium and chlorin, which maintain acid-base balance and filteration balance in body fluid. Dietary electrolyte balance affect involve to significantly nutrient metabolism, animal health and growth rate. Proper value of dietary electrolyte balance (dEB) is beneficial for improving nutrient utilization, performance and to maintain animal health. This research used Yin Xiang chichen to study the effect of different value of dEB on performances and blood biochemical indices of Yin Xiang chickens. The objective of this research is to build a mode and parameter of electrolyte balance for element requirement of local chickens. The experiment methods are shown as follows:In the experiment, 400 chickens were randomly divided into equal 8 groups including one control group and seven treatment groups with 50 chickens each. The period was divided into two phases including 10 days of pre-experiment period and 88 days of experiment period. The experiment period was also divided into two phases including aged 11 to 60 days and 61 to 98 days. Different levels of dEB were set up in each group. The treatments in the first phase are shown as follows:(1)Group 1 fed a basal diet as control. The results showed that: [Na+]=0.188%, [K+]=0.742%, [Cl-]=0.343%. Based on the content of Na+, K+ and Cl-, calculation formula was : dEB=[ Na+ + K+ -Cr]mmol/kg. As a result, the value of dEB for group 1 was 175.38 mmol/kg. (2)Group 4,5,6,7 and 8 received a basal diet with NaCO3, group 2 and 3 fed a basal diet added CaClj. Based on the formulation, the value of dEB in experiment diets were -50 mmolkg-1 (group 2) ,50 mmolkg-1 (group 3) ,200 mmolkg-1 (group 4) ,250 mmolkg-1 (group 5) ,300 mmolkg-1(group 6) ,350 mmolkg-1 (group7) ,400 mmolkg-1 (group 8) .respectively. The treatments in the second phase are shown as follows:(1) Group 1 as control are shown fed a basal diet. The results showed: [Na+]=0.178%,[K+]=0.734%, [Cl-]=0.224%. Based on the content of Na+, K+ and Cl-, that calculation model was : dEB=[ Na+ +K+ -Cl-]mmol/kg. As a result, the value of dEB for group 1 was 202.5 mmol/kg.(2) Group 5,6,7 and 8 fed a basal diet supplied NaHCO3. Whereas, group 2,3 and 4 fed a basal diet added CaCl2. Based on the formulation, the value of dEB in experiment diet were -50 mmolkg-1(group 2) ,100 mmolkg-1 (group 3) ,150 mmolkg-1 (group 4) ,250 mmolkg-1 (group 5),300 mmolkg-1 (group 6) ,350 mmolkg-1 (group7) ,400 mmolkg-1 (group 8) .respectively.The results showed that: (1) In the first phase of experiment, the proper value range of dEB was 50-300 mmol/kg for growth, and the best data was 200 mmol/kg. Higher or lower range dEB decreased growth. When the value of dEB was lower than -50mmol/kg, significant depress growth was observed(P<0.05). In the second phase of experiment, the proper value of dEB was150~300 mmol/kg, and 250 mmol/kg was the best one . Higher or lower value of dEB reduced growth rate when dEB data was lower than -50mmol/kg, the growth of chickens was depressed significantly ( P<0.05). (2) The concentration of Na, K, Cl, Ca, P and HCO3- in serum were altered slightly by dietary NaHCO3 and CaCl2, which were used to adjust the dEB value. No significant difference in serum pH was observed amond the treatments (P>0.05). (3) 250mmol/kg dEB increased serum total-protein, decreased serum uric acid. 400mmol/kg dEB influenced ( P< 0.05). the concentrations of serum total-protein and serum uric acid. (4) 250~300mmol/kg dEB increased the concentrations of methionine, lysine, arginine and the gross free amino acid in the serum. However, when the dEB level was 250mmol/kg,the best electrolyte balance was obtained in lysine and arginine. (5) 250mmol/kg dEB increased serum aldosterone concentration, wherease, the serum aldosterone concentration decreased either dEB level higher than 400mmol/kg or lower than -50mmol/kg. (6) 202.5mmol/kg dEB obtained good slaughter performance, whereas, the slaughter performance decreased when dEB level was... |
