This research was conducted with 9 different of genotype maize seeds (18 hybrids in all) in order to study on different genotype absorbing water characteristics, germination characteristics, seedling emergence and biology characteristics of different genotype maize seeds, The results showed that:the absorbing water trait is uniform of different type maize seeds, the change rule is fit to logarithm function y=aLn(x)+b, maize seeds absorbing water increase with temperature enhance in the fitting temperature range, The best temperature rage of which is from 25 to 35# There is a significant difference in absorbing water velocity of different type maize seeds, the absorbing water velocity's row order from high to low is sweet type ,high oil type , high protein type ,powder type ,wax type , horse tooth, half- horse tooth ,flint type, POP type ,but the result shows that there is no significant difference in difference varieties of same type.: Chem. element, endosperm texture, seed capsule and grain weight had the effect on the absorbing water capacity. But chem. element is the main factor for water uptake capacity. The crest, embryo and endosperm of seed have absorbing water capacity, the change rule is fit to logarithm function y=aLn (x) +b. the fastest one of absorbing water velocity is embryo, secondly is crest, last is endosperm. There is no different in absorbing water for the same type of different varieties, but there is great different in the different type. High oil require most water, POP type require least water.Bud of embryo and stalk have some adjust capacity to seedling, the different type or the same type of different varieties have different adjust capacity to seedling, the adjust capacity's order form high to low about stalk of different type is POP type, half- horse tooth, wax type, flint type ,sweet type, high oil type, horse tooth, and high protein type; The adjust capacity's order form high to low about bud of embryo of different type is half- horse tooth, flint type, horse tooth, high protein type, high oil type, wax type, sweet type and POP type. Contrast stalk, the bud of embryo have more high variation coefficient, which indicate that bud of embryo have more adjust capacity than stalk for seedling emergence.Soil texture had some effect on germination and seedling growth. The same type seeds had highest germination rate in clay soil, next in soil, sand soil. The germination rate of high oil 115 was higher than others of breeds in the clay soil. Seedling root system exists strong different inWith the method of blur subjection, I conduct to whole value for resist drought, and then choose resist drought variety in the seedling period. The results suggest that difference variety in the same type no exists prominent difference .the most resisting drought capacity is Lai Yu 2 seedling, next is Ji Yu 9,but the high oil 298 have the most feeblish resisting drought capacity. The row order from high to low is half horse tooth, burst, high protein type, horse tooth type, flint type, wax type, soft, sweet type, high oil type, the most type no prominent difference in the variety except high oil type. With the analysis of GR index and GV index, the result suggests that maize seeds had a basis rule in fitting temperature scope, the best range is 25 to 30 ℃, it is on benefit to germinate in 15 ℃ and in from 35 to 40 ℃.Microelement Mn and nutrition liquid treat with seeds, the result follows that: that liquid enhance the capacity of germination, it is prominent promote the growth of seedling, and enhance the respiration rate of root and shoot and enhance absorbing capacity of root, but it is no prominent effect on content of chlorophylls of seedling.
