| The present study observes the dynamic change of follicles and corpus luteum and follicularwaves by ultrasonic scanner during the estrous cycle of the non~pregnant heifers, for a betterunderstanding of ovarian function and controlling ovulation.7 heifers (6 Jersey and 1 Holstein) age at 18 months that are injected the PGF2 (C αIoprostenol, 5ml/head, 2ml/each vial), utilizing SONOACE 600 B-Mode ultrasonic scannerobserve the follicles on the ovary daily in the estrous cycle, the transrectal linear transducer isused to count the numbers of the small follicles that the diameter are 1mm to 4mm, middlesfollicles that the diameter are 5mm to 7mm and large follicles that the diameter in the ovary isbeyond 7mm, and record the number and the diameter of the follicles.The data are analysedby the Excel Procedure and SPSS11.0.The conclusions are as following:(1) There are 2~4 follicular waves in estrous cycle of the non~pregnant heifers,mainlyis the 3 follicular waves and 4 follicular waves.For the 3 follicular waves heifers, the firstfollicular wave is from D2.5 to D12.0, the second follicular wave is from D12.0 to D16.5,and the third follicular wave is from D16.5 to D21.5.For the 4 follicular waves heifers, thefirst follicular wave is from D1.5 to D 5.5. The second follicular wave is from D5.5 to D11.5.The third follicular wave is from D11.5 to D16.0. The fourth follicular wave is from D16.0 toD22.0.(2) The diameter of corpus luteum is up to 25mm. There is the cavity in the middle of thecorpus luteum . The large corpus luteum is projected, round shape, dark grey and is made ofthe material just like the sand, and regress to 1mm to 3mm white dot in diameter on theimage of the screen. 3é»„é›…ç¼ è¿ç”¨ B-型超声波技术观测æ¯ç‰›åµå·¢åЍæ€å˜åŒ–çš„ç ”ç©¶(3) The follicular number distribution on the surface of the non~pragnant heifers of ovary arestable in the estrous cycle. On the average, there are about 30~50 follicles on each ovary, thenumber and the rate of the diameter of 1mm~4mm follicles, the diameter of 5mm~7mm andthe diameter of >7mm is up to 51.66±9.97 (92.51%), 2.23±2.25(4.60%), 1.59±1.23(2.88%)respectively. The diameter of the mature follucles is 13.8±5.3mm. It is the follicular resourcesof the ovary which provide the follicles for OPU and IVM~IVF~IVC and can ready toprovide preantral follicle culture.(4) The small follicles and the middle follicles is positive or correlation, but no significantdifference (r=0.379,P>0.05). There is a tendency of the negative correleation relationbetween the small follicles and the large follicles, but no significant difference (r=-0.049,P>0.05).The ovary follicular development in postpartum heifers from the experiment results byB-Mode ultrasonicgraph, it is shown as following:(1) Because of different between individual heifer, the first time shown heating is different,and there are still estrus. The period of the estrous cycle is different, most of them is longerthan the normal estrous cycle.(2) The involution to utertus is a process gradually. The discharge time of the dirting lochiaare 18 days on average.(3)The interval from calving to oestrus of the postpartun is irregular between the individualheifer.(4) The follicular waves of postpartum heifers is made of 3~4 waves in the first estrous cycle.The follicular development in the ovary is a dynamic process just like wave pattern. Thefollicules in the normal estrous cycle undergo recruitment, selection, domination, turnover,ovulation, regression, luteum and atresia. |
