Data of fifteen varieties (clones) and eight sites to the eight sugarcane regional trial in Yunnan were collected and tidied. Calculation based on the yield of sugar contents per hectare. Each variety in each site was analyzed with the analysis of variance and SSR test to show the ability of yield, which indicated that planting variety 1,5,12 and so on showed the high abilities on the yield at site A, the result for the others to be indicated in the text; Varieties in different seasons and at different sites compared to the check variety were analyzed with the analysis of variance and LSR test to show the ability of yield, which indicated that all the varieties showed significant increase on yield, all of the varieties except variety 7 and 8 showed significant increase on yield considering the seasons in the site A, the result for the others to be indicated in the text; Varieties yield of planting, ratoon and average of-planting and ratoon were analyzed with the regression coefficient and regression coordinate diagram to show the high and stable abilities, which indicated that the variety 3, 2 and 6 had the yield of high and stable abilities, variety 10, 1, 9 had the yield of high abilities but unstable, variety 4 had the low yield and unstable ability. Varieties yield of planting, ratoon and average of planting and ratoon were analyzed with the high stability coefficient (HSC) to show the high and stable abilities, which indicated that the test varieties had the high and stable abilities sequence of yield ranged from high to low were 12, 9, 10> 1, 3> 11, 13, 5, 2> 6, 4, 8, 7.Significant test to the parameters of variability showed that correlated coefficient of average yield of sugarcane were extremely significant correlated to that of HSC, reach —0. 9396. Varieties with high yield and stability that results from the HSC analysis have being propagated and demonstrated in different test sites. It's indicated that the HSC analysis method can be simply exactly and truly to show the ability of yield and stability of tested varieties.Variance and regression test were the methods to show ability and stability of yield individually, and very complicated on calculation, sometimes getting the results inconsistent. HSC method combined the ability and stability of yield* and the calculation were very simple, once the average yield of varieties and check were got, the HSC could be calculated and the abilities of varieties will be showed. HSC could be an efficient and reliable method to analyze the yield ability and stability to the sugarcane regional trial.
