Effect of dietary nutritional level and fiber resources on HePu geese's performance, nutrients utilization had been evaluated by this study. Each experiment as following all contained feeding trial; metabolic trial; the evaluation of geese's carcass quality, serum parameters and chest muscle content. In feeding trial ,60 Hepu geese at age of 4 weeks were randomly divided into 3 groups (20 geese for each) and fed with diet 1 (group 1),diet 2 (group 2)and diet 3 (group 3)for 42d respectively. Metabolic trial was conducted with 12 or 15 geese from 3 feeding groups.Experiment 1: Geese were fed with diet 1 (ME 10.03MJ/Kg) ,diet 2(11.00MJ/Kg),diet 3(11.85MJ/Kg). The results showed that there was no difference in average daily gain among 3 groups and BUN decrease with increasing ME intake (P<0.05). The metabolizability of NDF and Hemicelluloses of group 1 was significantly higher than other groups' at age of 5-week. At age of 9-week, the metabolizability of CF of group 1 was significantly higher than other groups'.Experiment 2:Geese were fed with diet 1 (CP12.50%),diet 2(15.80%), diet 3(17.83%).The results showed that:(1)Average daily gain decreased with increasing dietary CP (P>0.05).(2)BUN increase with increasing CP intake(P<0.05). (3) At age of 5-week, the metabolizability of NDF and hellicellucose of group 2 was significantly higher than other groups'; but Dietary 1 was fit for metabolizing of crude fiber ( P<0.05 )and of other nutrients for geese at age of 9-week.Experiment 3 : Geese were fed with diet 1 (straw as fiber resources) ,diet 2 (corn straw as fiber resource) or diet 3 (peanut vine as fiber resource) respectively. The results showed that:(l) There was no difference in average daily gain among 3 groups. (2)Different fiber resources can not affected serum biochemical parameters carcass quality and the shape of small intestine villi significantly.(3) Diet of group 3 was fit for metabolizing of NDF and Hemicelluloses for geese at age of 8 weeks ( P<0.05 ) .Above all, it was concluded that1 .The metabolizability of CF , NDF, ADF, Hemicelluloses of dietary (concentrate + grass) was 12.76-21.41%, 24.12-39.74% > 8-17.55% , 43.54-62.50%, respectively when dietary(concentrate) CP 15.30%, CF9.30%, ME 10.03-11.85MJ/kg.2.The metabolizability of CF , NDF, ADF, Hemicelluloses of diets (concentrate + grass)was 16.72-21.26%, 25.21-30.60% , 7.27-11.43%, 44.16-53.50%, respectively when dietary (concentrate) ME11.50MJ/kg, CF9.70 - 9.91%, CP 12.50 -17.83%.3.The metabolizability of CF -, NDF, ADF, Hemicelluloses of different fiber resources diets (concentrate + grass) was 4.41-4.88%; 23.62-31.53%; 4.93-5.20%; 46.03-66.38% respectively when dietary(concentrate) ME10.25MJ/kg, CF8.0%, CP13.80%.4. It is advised that diets (concentrate) ME 10.03-11.50 MJ/kg, CP12.50~15.80% when dietary CF8.0~9.9% for 28- 70-d HePu geese.
