Chemical compositions are one of the uppermost references to evaluate the quality of tobacco leaf. Genetic factors, ecological environment and cultivation techniques effect together the chemical compositions of flue-cured tobacco, and the effect of ecological environment is the most prominent. Climate and soil are the main ecological factors, and the action of climate factor is more important. Through correlation analysis of chemical compositions of different ecological tobacco and climate factor, the aim is to affirm the characteristics of chemical compositions of different tobacco and its change rule, and to find the dominant climate factor which effects chemical compositions. There is not only important meaning in both tobacco distribution and improvement of planting technique, but also there is important guidance to select of tobacco material, and then to ensure the stabilization of tobacco quality and exploitation of new production. The result was as fellows:1 The chemical compositions have difference between different regions, and the difference is a little greater in some areas in the same condition. Nicotine, potassium, chlorine, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine has significant difference between regions, the difference is less for total nitrogen and protein, the difference of the absolute value of sugar is greater, but the relative value is less. The characteristics of the chemical composition of all producing regions are that: nicotine content in Liaoning is the lowest, generally 1.8%~2.3%, the ratio of nitrogen to nicotine content is the highest, sugar content is in the middle, generally total sugar content is 23%~27%, reductive sugar content is 21%~26%, total nitrogen content, potassium content and the ratio of sugar to nicotine content is medial, chlorine content is less, protein content is greater. In the tobacco leaves in Shandong, the nicotine content is the greatest, 2.7%~3.4%. Total sugar, potassium content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is lower, total nitrogen, chlorine content is greater, protein content is medial, and reductive sugar is the lowest. In the tobacco leaves in Henan, nicotine and chlorine content is the greatest, nicotine content is generally 2.7%~3.7%,total sugar content, protein content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is the lest, reductive sugar content, potassium content is lower, total nitrogen is higher. In the leaves in Guizhou, nicotine content is higher, 2.2%~3.0%, total sugar content is generally 23%~28%, reductive sugar content is 22%~26%, protein and total nitrogen content is medial, potassium content and sugar/nicotine is high, chlorine content and nitrogen/nicotine is lower. In the leaves in Sichuan, nicotine content is low and the change range is great, 1.8%~2.8%, reductivecontent and sugar/nicotine is the highest, total sugar content is 27%~32%,reductive sugar content is 24%~29%,total nitrogen content is lowest, protein, chlorine content is low, potassium content in Huidong is lower than Ningnan, nitrogen/nicotine is high. In Fujian, the change range of nicotine content is greater, is generally 2.2%~3.2%,total sugar and reductive content is medial or high, total sugar content is generally 25%~29%,reductive sugar content is 23%~27%,total nitrogen and chlorine content, nitrogen/nicotine is medial, protein content and sugar/nicotine is higher, potassium content is the highest. In Yunnan, nicotine, total sugar, reductive content is higher, potassium content ,the ratio of nitrogen and nicotine and sugar/nicotine is medial or lower, total nitrogen and protein content is the highest, chlorine content is lower. By the comparison of both the south and north producing region, In the north, sugar, potassium content, sugar/nicotine and the ratio of total nitrogen and nicotine is low; Nicotine, total nitrogen and chlorine content is high; In the south, sugar, potassium content, sugar/nicotine and the ratio of total nitrogen and nicotine is high, Nicotine, total nitrogen and chlorine content is low. Protein content is almost in the same. Some chemical compositions of in Kaiyuan incline toward ' the southern tobacco leaves. Some chemical compositions of in Wenshan incline toward the northern tobacco leaves.2 The chemical compositions in all producing regions show some fluctuation in different years, and the change range of nicotine content, chlorine content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen /nicotine is the greatest. The condition is different in different regions, the change range is greatest in Liaoning region, CV of nicotine content is 41.10%, CV of sugar/nicotine is 47.77%, CV of chlorine content and nitrogen/nicotine is over 30%. In Sichuan, the change range is greater, the change range of total nitrogen, potassium, protein content and nitrogen/nicotine are all greatest in Sichuan, CV is respectively 17.35%, 27.61%, 24.95%, 44.74%. In Henan and Fujian, the change range is the lest, CV of nicotine content is respectively 15.59%, 14.05%, CV of sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is both under 20%, CV of chlorine content in Jia county in Henan is greater, CV is 47.14%.In Yunnan, the change range is also less, total sugar, total nitrogen, protein content and nitrogen/nicotine is the lest in all regions, CV is respectively 4.03%, 6.84%, 4.77%, 14.45%.By the comparison of both the south and north producing region, the change range of nicotine, total nitrogen, chlorine content and sugar/nicotine in the north is greater than in the south, but that of total sugar, reductive sugar, potassium content and nitrogen/nicotine in the north is less than in the south.3 The difference of nicotine content in the different parts in Guizhou and Sichuan is great, but the difference in Liaoning is less. The difference of sugar content in Shandong is greater, that in Fujian is less. The change of total nitrogen content in Liaoning and Fujian is less, that in Sichuan and Yunnan is greater. The difference of potassium content in Guizhou and Fujian is great, that in Shandong and Henan is less. The change of protein content in Sichuan and Yunnan is greater, that inGuizhou and Fujian is less. The difference of chlorine content in those regions, except Liaoning, Henan and Yunnan is not obvious.The difference of sugar/nicotine in all regions, except in the Liaoning, is significant. The difference of nitrogen/nicotine in Guizhou and Fujian is greater, that in Liaoning is less. By the comparison of both the south and north producing region, the change range of total sugar, reductive sugar and chlorine content in the north is greater, and the others is less; Those paraments, except total sugar, reductive sugar and chlorine content, in the south is less, the others is greater. This suggests that the part characteristics of chemical compositions of tobacco leaves in the south are obvious, by comparison that in the north is not obvious.4 The change of the chemical compositions in the different ecological regions shows that: the change of the chemical compositions in the lower leaves is greater, that in the middle leaves is less, and that in the upper is relatively steady. The changes in the middle leaves in Kaiyuan are greater, that in the upper is less. The change in all parts in Anqiu is little. The change in the lower leaves in Yishui is greater, and that in the upper is less. The change in the middle leaves in Linying is greater, that in the upper is less. The change in the middle leaves in Jiaxian is steady, that in the upper and lower is greater. The change in all parts in Meitan is steady. The change in all parts in Ningnan is greater. The change in the lower leaves in Jiangle is steady, that in the lower is greater. The change in the lower leaves in Yongding is greater, that in the upper is relatively less. The change in the upper in Wenshan is steady, that in the lower is greater. .By the comparison of both the south and north producing region, the change of nicotine content and nitrogen/nicotine in the north is less, and that of the others is greater; The change of those, except nicotine content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine in the south is less. This suggests that the stability of chemical compositions in the south is better than that in the north.5 Nicotine content of the orange tobacco leaves is higher than that of the lemon in all producing regions, and the difference in Shandong is the greatest, that in Liaoning is the least. Total sugar content of the orange leaves is higher than that of the lemon in Liaoning and Guizhou, and it is opposite in the other regions. Reductive sugar content of the orange is higher than that of the lemon in Yunnan and Guizhou, and it is opposite in the other regions. Total nitrogen content of the orange is lower than that of the lemon in those regions except Liaoning. Potassium content of the orange is lower than that of the lemon in all regions. Protein content of the orange is lower than that of the lemon in Liaoning and Guizhou, and it is opposite in the other regions. Chlorine content of the orange is lower than that of the lemon in Liaoning and Henan, and the difference is great, and it is opposite in the other regions and the difference is little. Sugar/nicotine of the orange is less than that of the lemon in all regions, and the difference is the greatest in Sichuan and it is the least in Guizhou. Nitrogen/nicotine of the orange is lower than that of the lemon in those regions except in Yunnan,and the difference in Guizhou and Sichuan is greater and it is less in the other regions. The difference of total sugar, reductive sugar, nitrogen, potassium, protein content in both the orange and the lemon is unobvious. By the comparison of both the south and north producing region, in the orange leaves in the north, sugar, potassium content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is low, but nicotine and chlorine content is high; In the south, sugar, potassium content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is high, but nicotine and chlorine content is low; In both regions, the difference of total nitrogen and protein content is little. The change of the lemon in the south is in the same with that of the orange.6 According as the chemical compositions, the eleven bases are divided into three classes by clustering analysis. Kaiyuan in Liaoning is near the south region. Meitan, Yongding, Ninglan, Huidong, Jangle and Wenshan is the first clustering, the traits of its chemical compositions are that nicotine content is in the end of three classes, reductive sugar content, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is in the head, total nitrogen and protein content is medial and potassium and chlorine content is lowest. The chemical compositions of both Yishui in Shandong and Linying in Henan is close, so they are the second class, their nicotine content is higher than that of the first class, reductive sugar content is lower than that of the first class, total nitrogen and protein content is medial, potassium content is the lowest, chlorine content is high, and sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine is lower. The chemical compositions of both Anqiu in Shandong and Jiaxian in Henan are close and they are the third class, their nicotine content is in the first of three classes, reductive sugar content is lowest, total nitrogen and protein content is medial, chlorine content is higher, sugar/nicotine and nitrogen is in the end.7 According as the trait analysis on mean air temperature of every ten days, average maximum air temperature, average minimum air temperature, 10cm earth temperature .relative humidity, rainfall, light hour et al, the field climate in all producing regions are summed up the following types: Its trait of the first type is rainy, fewer light hour and temperature rising, which is taking Yongding and Jiangle in Fujian as representative; Its trait of the second type is moderate rain, light hour and temperature decreasing, its representatives are Huidong, Ningnan in Sichuan and Wenshan in Yunnan; Its trait of the third type is lack rain, light hour and temperature slowly rising, its representative is Meitan in Guizhou; Its trait of the forth type is lack rain, plenty light hour and high temperature, its representative is Linying and Jiaxian in Henan; Its trait of the fifth type is lack rain, plenty light hour and hype-high temperature, its representative is Yishui and Anqiu in Shandong; Its trait of the sixth type is lack rain, plenty light hour and temperature rising or decreasing, its representative is Kaiyuan in Liaoning.8 The correlation analysis on chemical compositions and climate factors shows: 10cm soil...
