This experiment was done in Liaocheng city between 2002 year and 2004 year. The investigation subjects were Sophora japonica of Gulou road and Gongyuan road and s of Liuyuan road and Nanhuan road in Liaocheng city. Using the investigation of sample area, typical plots were selected in every site.3 sample sites, 3 duplications at random in each site, were investigated. There were totally 9 duplications and 30 individual plants in each one. Using the uniform investigation standard biometrical analysis was used to handle the data, in order to choose good ones from the variety of Sophora japonica and Platanus orientali. The following is the investigation results:1. We used variance analysis to analyze the stick height and coronal breath, the F-numbers were 2.83,1.08,and 2.17 separately, and none of them was bigger than F0.05 number. It was considered that there was no obviously different in these investigation zones, so the selected zpnes had some representative. The variance analysis result of Platanus orientali was similar to the one of Sophora japonica.2. In the correlation analysis of many characters of Sophora japonica, there were 6 sample sites that were very significant positive correlation in their height to perimeter; so were there 7 ones in coronal breath to perimeter and height separately; so were there 6 ones that were very significant in length to coronal breath; but there were 6 ones that were very significant negative correlation in the thick branches to thin ones.In the correlation analysis of many characters of Platanus orientalis there were 7 sample plots that were very significant in positive correlation of their height to perimeter; so were there 9 ones in coronal breath to both perimeter and height; but there were 6 ones that were very negative correlation in the angle of branch to height and coronal breath; there were 5, 5 and 7 ones that were positive correlation in the coronal density to perimeter, height and coronal breath separately; So were there 7 ones in leave color to defoliate degree. There were 9, 9 and 5 ones that were negative correlation in branchwide to perimeter, height and coronal breath separately; But were there 9 ones that were negative to thick branch. And there were 6, 6, 8, 7, and 7 ones that were positive in loveliness to perimeter, height , coronal breath, coronal density and branch length separately.Though some of the other characters of the two species got to significant degree, however not beyond 5, not having catholicity and the reliability was not better, as the other characters without significant correlation, the typicality was not strong enough to be considered. As a result, these characters could be used in correlative or inchoate selection as assistant characters.3. In the eleven investigation types, the number of wide coronal type, beauty type, thick stem type and more fruits type except of density coronal type is not equality in apiece city. So the distribution of most of types is-not equality but at random. .4. Large perimeter type and large coronal type appeared significant difference by T test, and the difference between variations was so large as to become extremeness type. This proved that the classification was science method in reason.5. Kinds of types of Sophora japonica had been selected: the type of wide coronial and density and keeping out sun, the type of tall and growing fast and beauty, the type of no blossoms and fruits and environmental protection, the type of outshoot leaves earlier and virescence, the type of defoliation leaves and virescence, the type of plentiful blossoms and medical purpose.6. Kinds of types of Platanus orientalis had been selected: the type of wide coronial and density and keeping out sun, the type of tall and growing fast and beauty, the type of no blossoms and fruits and environmental protection, the type of outshoot leaves earlier and virescence, the type of defoliating leaves and virescence.7. If the candidate for choiceness trees was selected according to the small sample method, their growth quantities were beyond 60%; If it is selected according to 5 trees method, they were beyond 30%, too. Al 1 the candidateshad lots of differences in stem formation, coronial density, coronial formation and fastness. 1 Sophora japonica and 2 Platanus orientalis having perfect integration characters had been selected out according to numeric mark.
