Preliminary Construction Of Fish Biodiversity Information System In Chongqing

The present research, is studying on the river through Chongqing, which is Changjiang River, Jialingjiang River, Wujiang River and Youshui River.The detailed information was clarified concerning the classification, morphological characters, ecological characters, geographical distribution and other biological information of fish in Chongqing on the basis of authoritative publications. And the photographs of living fish and specimen were obtained through field investigation and specimen survey. Furthermore, the construction situation of the biodiversity information system was summarized. And the present study of the fish biodiversity information system was analyzed by introducing the fish resources in the river s of Chongqing. The floristic elements offish was analyzed, Then using the computer skills all the information was collected and handled. Lastly, the information system of the fish biodiversity in Chongqing was established with Microsoft Access as the database and ASP {Active Server Pages) realized by HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language)and VBScript, in which the information of all aspects can be searched by single item or composed items. This information system is helpful for administrative departments and research institutes to obtain relative information quickly and conveniently, which will raise efficiency and consequently be useful to the conservation and sustainable utilization of biodiversity in Chongqing Province.This is also helpful to agriculture as a basic method and way.The main research conclusions included in the fish biodiversity information system in Chongqing can be drawn as follows:I. The fish studying of Chongqing:(1). According to the Fauna Sinica, the fishes of Sichuan, the carp fish of China and the fish of Changjiang River, there are 175 species which belong to 9 items 20 section 95 genera. And the information system is striving to include classification, morphological characters, ecological characters, geographical distribution and other biology information for almost each species, including the science value, economy value, the status of resource protection of the main fish. And almost each fish was given to the true picture and sample picture.(2). The floristic elements of fish in Chongqing have such features as ancient origin, obvious endemism, complicated elements and wide connection with other flora, including, many kinds of species.
