The Research On Zanthoxylum Ailanthoides Sieb.et Zucc. Characteristics Of The Seed And Vegetative Character

Through varieties of experiments on Zanthoxylum ailanthoides Sieb.et Zucc.(the natively fast-growth broad-leafed treee ) ,the paper made a systematic study on morphogenesis of seed, features of dormancy ,sprouting physiology, factors that affect the quality of seed, characteristics of photosynthesis, breed and cultivation etc. Thus, it finds the growth characteristics of Zanthoxylum ailanthoides, which will have important realizing meanings for exploring natively broad-leafed tree, protecting seed resources and varieties of organism, and expanding the sale of plant community.The results show that: The hide of seed of Zanthoxylum ailanthoides is hard and compact. It contains rich oil. It is not easy for seed to ventilate. So it is very low at natural germination rate.During the period of low temperature accumulation, the content of fat, protein and starch gradually, while sum of sugar is increasing steadily. Dormancy is not end until the embryo complete its growth. At this time, the content of protein is slowly increasing, and the content of starch is slowly cut down. While the content of fact is suddenly drop down. As a result, the sum of sugar is increasing. Then the seed goes into the period of sprouting.Many factors determine the dormancy of Zanthoxylum ailanthoides. It includes the influence of late ripe of physiology (uncompleted differentiation of embryo) and mechanical force of seed hide. It is the result of both two actions. So it can be categorized as the type of interior resource-exterior resource compound dormancy. In order to bread up the interior resource dormancy, the ideal method is to bury the seed by using wet sand outside for about three to five months. After the late ripe of embryo and shallow physiology dormancy periods, the seed has strong ability to sprout. Meanwhile, use osmotic pretreatment(Zn solution, PEQ GA3), which will improve the vigor of the seed. To break up the exterior-dormancy ,physical measures can be used, such as polishing seed etc. These methods will remove the physical limitation of seed hide.We dibble seeding with the pretreatment seed. 13 days later, they begin to emerge. The process continues about 50 days. Then the period from the middle 10-days of May to the first 10-days period of October, is the time that plant growing quickly. The growth periods in a year appear one peak. It is "S" from of curve. The average height of the plants is 151.25 to 180.35cm.
