Seventy-four hazelnut cultivars or lines, i.e. Corylus heterophylla Fisch, Corylus avellana L, and the hybrid of Corylus heterophylla Fisch ×Corylus avellana L, were used as materials. By the analysis of morphology, pollen and isoperoxidase, this project studied the genetic polymorphism of hazelnut cultivars or lines, and explored the genetic relationship between female and male parents; filial generations; parents and filial generations. The research aimed at providing theoretical guidance. The result s indicated: (1) Corylus heterophylla Fisch, Corylus avellana L, and the hybrid of Corylus heterophylla Fisch ×Corylus avellana L were analysed in morphology. the results showed that the morphology vaviation between two species i.e Corylus heterophylla Fisch and Corylus avellana L was great. And the relative relationship was distant. The genetic relation between most hybrid hazelnut lines and male parents Corylus avellana L. was close. But the relationship between most hybrids and female parent Corylus heterophylla Fisch was distant. The relationship between fraction hybrids and female parent Corylus heterophylla Fisch was close. (2) The shape of pollens was unanimous in hazelnut cultivars or lines. The pollens had three-loops orifice and had an obtuse angle shape. The equatorial side was long-round or round. They all belonged to the pollen of N3P4C4. The pollen variations between cultivars or lines mainly accorded to the size, shape, and the depth and width of germination orifice of the pollens. . (3)Both young and climax leaves were analyzed by isoeroxidase and esterase,. The results showed that the suitable material for isoperoxidase analysis was climax leaves and the suitable material for esterase analysis was young leaves. (4)The analysis of isozyme spectrum showed that there were specific characteristic spectrum bands identifying male parents (Corylus avellana L.), female parents (Corylus heterophylla Fisch) and the hybrids both in isoeroxidase and esterase spectrum. In the esterase spectrum of young leaves, P13 was the characteristic spectrum band of Corylus heterophylla Fisch, Corylus avellana L, and the interspecific hybrids. In the isoperoxidase spectrums of climax leaves, P5, P7 and P15 were characteristic spectrum bands of male parents, female...
