Studies On The Tissue And Chemicals Of Various Types'bark Of Eucommia Ulmoides Oliv

Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. is one of valuable unique species only distributed in China and protected by the government . Its bark, being a Chinese traditional medicine ,has been played a very important role in medical uses and health care for thousands of years. Although Eucommia ulmoides is single species.single genus and single family , variances were found as the four types' bark by now, including smooth type, superficial splitting type, deep splitting type and chap type, according to literature report and field survey. What is the difference among the four types'bark? From the point of view of the tissue structure and the content of mainly effective compositions.This paper maked a systemic comparing study on the four types' bark in order to provide scientific foundation for Eucommia ulmoides' varietal classifing and choiceness research.This experiment made permanent olefin slice ups of different types' bark and observed them with microscope .Evident difference in the three types of superficial splitting, deep splitting and chap types weren't found , but the smooth bark was different to the other three types in two aspects. Firstly, difference on the phellem: the periderm of smooth type was distinctly thinner than the other three types'bark, its number of layer was few; those rough types' periderm such as superficial splitting, deep splitting and chap type was very thick, and it was composed of the old phellem, the new phellem and the decadence structure Which was pressed by the two layers. Secondly, there was a little of collenchyma whose texture was tight in smooth type's endothecium of phellem; while, there was a lot of collenchyma whose structure was rough and whose texture was loosening in rough types' endothecium of phellem.The smooth type's periderm forming path didn't like the rough types. On the time of smooth type's new phellem forming, the older phellem would be losed and the periderm was only composed of new phellem . And, On the time of rough types'new phellem forming, the older phellem would accumulate. The periderm was composed of new phellem, older phellem and the cortex which was pressed by both new and older layers of phellem . It is presumed that the bark variance of Eucommia ulmoides is caused by the heredity changing.This experiment studied the HPLC methods for the determination of Chlorogenic acid, Aucubin, Pinoresinol-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, Geniposide and Geniposidic acid in different types' bark of Eucommia Ulmoides in the major distribution region,and compared the five medicinal constituents' contents among different type's bark of Eucommia Ulmoides.The amount of the five medicinal components in different type's bark was...
