The extension of plant protection reduces the loss of yield and quality of a lot of plants which was caused by pest, and promotes the healthy development of agriculture. Pest management is related to many social-ecomomic and natural factors. The transformation of sci-tech results in plant protection is affected by many factors. Building the bridge between sci-tech research and agricultural production, promoting the transformation of sci-tech results in plant protection is a very impotant task of plant protection personnels.Mainly according to the related agricultural extention theories and the method of the combination of theory and pratice, this paper carrys out an approach through literature search and inquire investigation. The research shows that the main factors which affect the transformation of sci-tech results in plant protection in Tianjin are: the depth and extent of the sci-tech research, the outlay for the research and extention, the status of management and utilization of pesticide, the basal organizational system of agricultural extension, the extension mode and etc. Based these current restrictive factors, this paper illustrates that the transformation of sci-tech results in plant protection is a complicated and systematic project. Therofore, the development of the transformation of sci-tech results in plant protection in Tianjin must be made overall plans and take all factors into considation, including the enhance of depth and extent of sci-tech research, the increase of the outlay for the research and extention, the strengthen of management and utilization of pesticide, the construction of diversified extension modes, the expansion of extensive education and training.
