Studies On Seed Growth Characters And Seed Yield Components Of Ruthenian Medic

A preliminary study on seed growth characters and seed yield components of Ruthenian medic in forage experimentation base of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University during 2004~2005.Phenological changes, flowering habits and the shedding of flowering and pod behaviours of Ruthenian medic were investigated, which provide theory basement and foundation for gain seed of the high yield and quality.The flowering habits and the shedding of flowering and pod behaviours of Ruthenian medic were studied, the result showed that green up period is the last ten-day of a 4 month, flowering is from the last ten-day of a 6 month to the last ten-day of a 8 month. The time of flowering a day was from 10: 00 to 14: 00 in Hohht, the fitting temperature of flowering is 29°C~ 32°C,humidity is 54%~64%.The shedding of flowering and pod were higher distinctly than the shedding of bud.The study of the Ruthenian medic about the moisture content pods and seeds, seed conductivity, the germination ratio and hard seed ratio and so on were done during the maturing period.The results showed the moisture content pods and seeds reduced, however, seed vitality ,1000-grain weight and hard seed ratio increased during the seed development. The curve of seed germination ratio is from increase to reduce. The seed vitality of maturing seed is high in the last ten-day a 7 month in Huhhot.Seed yield components were analyzed.Pontential seeds yield were estimated based on seed yield components and actual seed yields were evaluated.The correlation analysis, path analysis and regression analysis were done in the seed yield components of Ruthenian medic, the results showed that the number of reproductive branches of per plant is the most important in seed production, and the fruit rates follows it. The model of seed yield per plant of Planting Ruthenian medic is Y= 3.277+0.396X1+0.025X5.
