The main agronomic traits and cytology of BC1F2,BC1F3,BC1F4 between Elymus dahuricus, Hordeum brevisubulatum were studied. The results showed that:①The growth rhythm of BC1F2 and BC2F3 tended toward parent H. brevisubulatum, and there were significant differences among different lines, the growth rhythm of BC1F3 grew faster than BC1F2 .②There were significant differences in tiller ability among lines of BC1F2 and BC1F3,some lines had strong tiller ability that correspond to parent H. brevisubulatum, and some lines had lower tiller ability that were inferior to parent Elymus dahuricus.③The fertile pollen rate and seed set rate of BC1F2 and BC1F3 were different, some lines had lower fertile pollen rate, and nearly no seeds set in the open condition; Some lines had higher fertile pollen rate, and fertile pollen rate reached 66.2%, seed set rate was 25.46%.④The yield of BC1F2 and BC1F3 varied notably, there were significant differences among different lines; the regrowth ability of most lines were in the middle of the parents, the production performance tended toward parent H. brevisubulatum, the salt tolerance of BC1F2 were stronger.⑤The chromosome number of Backcross descendants tended toward stability with the increase of generations open-pollinated, and were 28.⑥The five lines of BC1F3 had lower univalent frequency, and higher bivalent frequency, which was almost the same as parent H. brevisubulatum.⑦The genomic in situ hybridization showed that there are chromosomes or chromosome fragments of Elymus dahuricus in BC1F4.
