Clinical Study Of Rib Fixation In The Treatment Of Multiple Rib Fractures

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of rib fixation for the treatment of multiple rib fractures.Methods:105cases of multiple rib fractures in Qingzhou City People’s Hospital between March2012and March2014were collected.55cases received rib fixation treatment(including30cases of rib embracing surgery and30cases ribs nail surgery) as the internal fixation group,50cases received conservative treatment as the conservative group.The operation situation,,clinical efficacy and rehabilitation effects of the two groups were compared.Results:The independent ambulation time, hospital stay, duration of pain, duration of mechanical ventilation, chest tube drainage time, healing time of the internal fixation group were significantly shorter than those in the conservative group,and the recovery of lung function was better than the conservative group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05); the complication rate (including atelectasis, pulmonary infection, chest deformities, etc.)of the internal fixation group were significantly lower than the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions: Rib fixation surgery for the treatment of multiple fib fractures has a significant effect, simple operation and fewer complications, it can shorten the time of the patient’s pain, recovery time and hospital stay, improve the quality of life of patients.It’s a safe and effective treatment for multiple rib fracture, should be widely applied and further optimize the improve.
