ZhangYuqing’s medical records contains his extremely rich clinical experience, in volume 17, the treatments of gynecological diseases are unique, his methods are distinctive, his prescriptions and herbs are flexible.Gynecology of TCM is an important part of Traditional Chinese medicine, it has a long history. For thousands of years, it plays an important role in the reproduction of the Chinese nation and safeguarding women’s health. As a specialized subject of TCM, ancient physicians have incisive discussions on gynecological diseases, in terms of etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation and classification, treatments, prescriptions and care, accumulated rich theoretical and practical experience, with a high clinical guidance and scientific value.Differently from other physicians, ZhangYuqing has quite unique features in the academic, his treatment on gynecological diseases are also unique. The academic overview includes four aspects:Zhang’s profile, academic ideological source, his works, the research situation of his works. This part mainly combs his academic ideological source and the research situation of his works.Zhang’s medical experience on treating gynecological diseases is studied from principles, methods, prescriptions and herbs etc. First, analyzes the etiology and pathogenesis of gynecological diseases briefly.
