The purpose of this study was to study the effects of herb compound additive on growth performance, blood parameters and meat quality. The experiment included 4 treatments, used the single factor multi-level experimental design. 1 treatment was the control group, feed the basal diet. 2, 3, 4 treatments were theâ… experiment group,â…¡experiment group,â…¢experiment group respectively. These three experimental groups increased 0.5%, 1%, 2% herb compound additive respectively. The results as follow:Experiment 1: In the growth performance aspect, compared with the control group, at 1-21 days, Theâ…¢experiment group was extremely increased the average daily gain (P<0.01), theâ…¡experiment group had significant effect on the average daily gain(P<0.05). Theâ… experiment group andâ…¡experiment group had extremely significant effect on daily intake of broiler chickens (P<0.01), theâ…¢experiment group had significant effect on daily intake of broiler chickens(P<0.05), compared with the control group, there was no significant difference within the experiment groups in daily intake (P>0.05). Each experiment group decreased feed conversion ratio, but there was no significant difference within the experiment groups(P>0.05). At 22-42 days, each experiment group increased the average daily gain, and theâ…¡experiment group had extremely significant effect on the average daily gain(P<0.01). Each experiment group had significant effect on the daily intake(P<0.05), compared with the control group, there was no significant difference within the experiment groups in daily intake (P>0.05). At 42 days, compared with the control group, three experimental groups increased the index of thymus and spleen, in theâ…¡experiment group the index of thymus was extremely higher than the control group(P<0.01), there was no significant difference in the other groups(P>0.05).In the whole trial, there was the tendency that the index of bursa decreased, but three experiment groups were also higher than the the control group, there was no significant difference in each group(P>0.05).Experiment 2: In the blood parameters aspect, in theâ…¡experiment group and theâ…¢experiment group total protein and the globulin obviously were higher than the control group and theâ… experiment group(P<0.05), there was no significant difference in other groups(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the content of albumin(P>0.05). Theâ…¡experiment group was obviously lower than the control group in the urea nitrogen (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the other groups(P>0.05), but there was the decreased tendency of urea nitrogen in the experiment groups. The content of IgG and IgM were obviously higher than the control group(P<0.05), there was no significant difference in the experiment groups(P>0.05), but theâ…¡experiment group had the highest content of IgG and IgM. The content of IgA in theâ…¡experiment group was obviously higher than the control group and the other experiment groups(P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the other groups(P>0.05), but the content of IgA in the experiment groups had the high tendency.Experiment 3: In the psychical characteristics of muscle aspect, in theâ…¡andâ…¢experiment group, meat color obviously was higher than the control group and theâ… experiment group(P<0.05), there was no significant difference in other groups in meat color(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in each group in tenderness and drop loss(P>0.05), but the experiment group was lower than the control group, and theâ…¡experiment group was the lowest. In the muscle nutrition aspect, there was no significant difference in each group in humidity ratio(P>0.05). As the content of herb compound additive increased, the content of crude protein was higher than the control group in the experiment groups, and theâ…¡experiment group was obviously higher than the control group(P<0.05), the content of crude protein in other groups had no significant difference(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in each group in fat(P>0.05), but the experiment groups had the high tendency, compared with the control group.
