To search the substitute of antibiotics additives and development the new Chinese medicine herb additives, we used the compound Chinese medicine herb additives which were made of the active constituent of berberine,astragalus and hawthorn , study the effects of the compound Chinese medicine herb additives in weaned piglets.120 weaned (Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshine) pigs, weighing an average of 9.5 kg, were randomly assigned to three dietary treatments with four replicates and ten pigs with each pen. The control group received the basal diet supplemented with750 mg/kg Aureomycin and 200 mg/kg Colistin Su-, the treatment A and treatment B received the basal diet supplemented with 0.125%, 0.25% compound Chinese medicine herb additives respectively. The feeding trial lasted for five weeks. Study the effects of compound Chinese medicine herb additives on growth performance, digestibility of main nutrients, digestive physiology, the blood biochemistry targets, immunity and antioxidation function and so on . The results are as follow:Test 1: The experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of the compound Chinese medicine herb additives on performance and apparent digestibility of weaned piglets. The results showed that there was no effect of treatment A and treatment B on average daily gain and finish weight, but its had the increasing trend (P>0.05).The treatment B had the best growth performance, F/G and diarrhea rate were significantly lower than those of control (P<0.05), there was no significant difference for diarrhea rate between control and treatment A (P>0.05), but it had the decreasing trend. Comparing with the control group, the treatment A and treatment B could increase the digestibility of dry matter, crude ash, crude protein and P extremely significant (P<0.01), but there was the decreasing trend with the increasing of levels of supplemence; the treatment A and treatment B could increase the digestibility of crude fat and Ca significantly (P<0.05); there was no significant effect on NDF (P>0.05).Test 2: Eight 5-week-old weaned piglets were selected randomly and slaughtered to study the effect on digestive enzyme activity and intestinal microbial flora. In duodenum , the results showed that there was the extremely significant difference for the activity of total proteinase between treatment B and control (P<0.01); there was no significant effect on activity of amylase and lipase(P>0.05), but its had the increasing trend, the activity of amylase and lipase were increased by 0.75% and 6.24%;In Pancreas, there was the significantly difference for the activity of amylase between treatment B and control (P<0.05); there was no significant effect on activity of total proteinase and lipase(P>0.05), but its had the increasing trend, the activity of total proteinase and lipase were increased by 17% and 27.66%.Compared with the control group, the treatment B could significantly inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli in colon and caecum (P<0.05), there was no significant effect on number of Escherichia coli in rectum(P>0.05); The treatment B could significantly promote the number of lactobacillus in colon, caecum and rectum(P<0.05), inhibit the number of total aerobe in colon, caecum and rectum(P<0.05); The treatment B could significantly promote the number of the total anaerobe in caecum and rectum(P<0.05), there was no significant effect on number of the total anaerobe in colon(P>0.05), but it had the increasing trend, it was increased by 1.73%.Test 3: Selecting one piglet from one replicate were slaughted to study the effect of Chinese medicine herb additives on the blood biochemistry targets, immunity and antioxidation function. The results showed that there was the extremely significant difference for the TP between treatment B and control (P<0.01), at the same time there was the significantly difference for the TP between treatment A and treatment B(P<0.05); There was the significantly difference for the Albumin,Globulin and ALP between treatment B and control(P<0.05),there was no significant difference for ALP between treatment A and control (P>0.05), but it had the decreasing trend; There was no significant difference for ALT and AST between treatment A, B and control (P>0.05), but its had the decreasing trend; Comparing with the control group, the treatment A and treatment B could extremely increase the level of BUN (P<0.01), comparing with the treatment A ,treatment B could increase the level of BUN (P<0.05); There was no significant difference for GLU and TC between treatment B,A and control (P>0.05), but its had the decreasing trend,the levels of GLU were decreased by 5.15% and 3.68%, the levels of TC were decreased by 9.37% and 4.68%; Comparing with the control group, the treatment A and treatment B could extremely increase the level of GSH-PX(P<0.01), its were increased by 26.14% and 30.49%; Comparing with the control group, the treatment B could increase the level of SOD(P<0.05),decrease the level of MDA(P<0.05); There was the extremely significant difference for the levels of IgG, IgA between treatment B and control (P<0.01), comparing with the treatment A , treatment B could increase the level of IgG(P<0.05); There was no significant difference for IgM between treatment B,A and control (P>0.05), but its had the decreasing trend,the levels of IgM were increased by 31.03% and 13.79%; There was the extremely significant difference for the C3,C4 between treatment B and control (P<0.01), its were increased by 40.91% and 46.15%, comparing with the treatment A , treatment B could increase the level of C3(P<0.05); Comparing with the control group, the treatment B could extremely increase the index of Spleen (P<0.01), there was no significant difference for the other indexs between treatment B and control (P>0.05),but its had the decreasing trend, its were increased by 21.88%,4.20% and 6.56%.Conclusion: adding the Chinese medicine herb additives in dietary of weaned piglets could decrease the diarrhoea incidence, improve the growth performance and nutrient digestibility, the effect of improving the growth performance could achieve or more than the effect of the antibiotics. Compareding to the control group, the Chinese medicine herb additives could promote the secretion of digestive enzymes, improve the activity of digestive enzyme, regulate the intestinal microflora balance, perfect the intestinal environment and the the blood biochemistry targets, increase the weight of immune organ and the index of immune organ, increase the activity of antioxidant enzymes and improve the antioxidation function.
