In recent years, farmers paid much attention to inorganic fertilizer application and neglected organic fertilizer application, which resulted in reduction of soil organic matter content, damage of soil structure, worsening of nutrient supply capacity of soil, deterioration of tobacco quality and weakening of usability in industry. Meanwhile, it also limited the competitiveness in international market of our tobacco leaves.To solve the above problem, we advanced screening of different varieties of green manure and research of associated technology such as different sowing and plow time combined with the local climate and production practice. Based on the results, we conducted demonstrations of associated technology of green manure application in field and achieved good results. The main results are as follows.1. The optimal green manure, dongmu 70, was selected from Trlfolium repens, Medicago sativa,taichunlaite and dongmu 70 four different manures. Dongmu 70 was more tolerant of frost and drought. In the same cultivation management conditions, it had a larger area of land coverage and a higher yield.Therefore it can returns the nutrients to fields at the maximum extent and increase the organic quality. Furthermore, turning over of dongmu 70 was propitious to tobacco growth, which lead to a more middle and high grade tobacco leaves and a higher value and yield per acre. Apart from this, it also could coordinate the chemical composition of tobacco leaves and improve quality assessment of tobacco smoking. 2. The best sowing time of dongmu 70 was determined,which was at October 20. Sowing at this date could have a even germination and the seedlings were suitable to transplant before winter. The seedlings were tolerant of frost and drought and could returns nutrients to fields at the maximum extent. Under the precondition of the same application time , sowing dongmu 70 at October 20 could promote tobacco growth, increased disease resistance and yield , improve value, coordinate the chemical composition of tobacco leaves and improve tobacco smoking quality.3. Based on thedetermination of the best sowing time, we studied the optimal plowing time and was at April,5 of the next year. The results showed that this treatment could lead to a highest yield and nutrient content of.Furthermore, lignification and fibrosis of green manure were lower.4. Through comprehensive research and combined with the local tobacco production practic, we formulated a set of green manure to field standard, which showed a good expandation prospects.
