This thesis has investigated and analyzed the biological diversity, the level of structure, vertical structure, and seasonal structure through field investigation, specimen collection and literature survey. Comprehensive assessment for the landscape quality also been made according to scenic forest landscape function features.Different typical landscape types are selected for the analysis and on this basis, the optimization measures are discussed as well. Specific research achievements are as follows:(1)Taihu Source forest park has rich plant resources. The source of plants covers 191 Section 734 Division 1471 kinds. There are 32 Section 61 division 132 kinds of them belonging to Ferns, 8 sections 18 divisions 26 species belonging to Gymnosperm, 151 Section 655 divisions 1313 kinds and subspecies belonging to Angiosperms.(2)The surveyed plots have rich plant species and the average number of species is about 26. Tree, shrub and grass species diversity index K were 1.1946,1.3387,1.4110.Seven different landscape types biological diversity index K in descending order are as follows: mixed conifer landscape> evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved landscape >leaves broad-leaved landscape>flowering shrubs landscape> evergreen broad-leaved landscape >scenic coniferous>bamboo landscape.(3)The surveyed typical scenic forest plots show the richness of community structure: most are the hybrid community consisted of tree, shrub, grass and vine in vertical structure; level structure is reasonable; forest phase has rich diversity; season phase changes significantly.(4)The leaf-color species and old-famous trees of the park is rich,and the ornamental is high. In these ornamentals, the foliage, shape, flower, fruit and limb account for 49%, 43%, 42%, 31%, 12%. respectively, Summer is the most concentrated viewing season.(5)The relationship between anion level and the community structure is: grass-shrub-trees hybrid structure>shrub-tree hybrid structure>grass-tree hybrid structure>grass-shrub hybrid structure. The anion level of different landscape types is: evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved>deciduous broad -leaved>evergreen broad-leaved>bamboo scenic forest>coniferous scenic forest>needle broad-leaved scenic forest>flowering shrubs scenic forest; when IFC varies in the range from 30% to 70%, IFC is higher while the canopy density is the lower. While, it has no obvious contribution from 70% to 90%.(6)There are 15 excellent landscapes plots in comprehensive evaluation which accounts for 48%, 12 good landscapes which accounts for 39%, 4 general landscapes which accounts for 13%. Overall, this park has good scenic forest landscape.(7)Optimization principles of scenic forest landscape include protection of existing landscape features resources,increase landscape and forest stand structure diversity,selection of tree species as far as possible native trees,maintain good sanitary condition,strengthen protection of ancient and famous trees,enhance cultivation to large diameter trees,thinning on proper to dense forest stand,rich tree species of existing scenic forest landscape,emphasis management on scenic forest of shrubs.
