| In this paper, the action mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" on Escherichia coli-induced Diarrhea of piglet were systematically studied on five aspects which were the bacteriostatic activity in vitro on E.coli.,the antagonism against liquid retention mediated by Escherichia coli heat-labile enterotoxin(LT), the antagonistic effect on diarrhea induced by castor oil in mice, the inhibiting action on increase of capillary permeability induced by acetic acid in mice, the inhibiting effect on intestinal movement forward in mice. These provided theoretic foundation for the selection of effective medicine to treat Eseherichia coli-induced diarrhea of piglet and the development of the complex prescription composed of Chinese herbal medicine and antibacterial agents. The results of the bacteriostatic experiment in vitro indicated that Rhizoma Coptidis, Cortex Phellodentri,Radix Pulsatilla,Radix Scutellariae had strongly bacteriostatic effects. Among the complex prescriptions, Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" had better bacteriostatic effect than those of the complex prescriptions 1,2,3.Escherichia coli was cultured in bacterial culture medium to which Chinese herbal medicines were added, and the cultural product LT was used to do experiment in ligated rabbit ileum. The results showed that the antagonistic effects of Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" was better than those of the complex prescriptions 1,2,3.By castor induced diarrhea in mice, the complex prescriptions reduced the frequeney of diarrhea in mice in 1-3h. Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" significantly reduced the frequeney of diarrhea in mice, the effects was better than those of the complex prescriptions 1,2,3 and Berberine Chloride group. In the experiment of the intestinal movement forward, all the complex prescriptions could reduce the intestinal movement rate of ink, Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" had better effect. The results of the experiment in increase of capillary permeability induced by acetic acid in mice showed that Chinese herbal medicine "Fufang Huangliansan" significantly inhibited exudation of dyestuff induced by acetic acid in mice, the inhibition rate reached to 59.40%. The complex prescriptions 1,2,3 could inhibit exudation of dyestuff induced by acetic acid in mice, the inhibition rates were 31.65%,36.79% and 47.25% respectively. |
