A single factor design was conducted to explore the effects of potassium diformat at 3 doses on growth performance and nutrients digestibility in weaned piglets.96 DLY weaned piglets were distributed in a completely randomized design into 4 treatments with 6 replicates of 4 weaned piglets. The KDF level of group A,B,C and D was 0%,1%,1.5 % and 2%,respectively.The trial period was 28 days and 1 weaned piglet of each replicate was slaughtered on the 29th day and took out the stomach and the terminal ileum rapidly for examining the pH value of endogenetic substance. The results are as follows:average gain was improved and feed/gain was decreased by potassium diformat in weaning piglets. After feeding 15th day and 35th day, small intestinal tract of each pig was taken out for histotomy and the length of intestinal villi were carefully measured. The results showed that in 15 days of experiment, the average length of intestinal villus from tested groups were significantly different than that of control group (P<0.05); in 30 days of experiment, the average length of duodemum villus from adding 1.5% potassium diformat group was 0.9835±0.1582mm and the average length of duodenum villus from adding 2% potassium diformat group was 0.8898+0.1635mm,both were highly significantly different than that of control group (P<0.01).The average length of duodenum villus from adding 2% potassium diformat group was lower than that of control group, but not significantly different (P>0.05).The average length of jejunum villus from adding 1.5% potassium diformat group and 2% group were not sinificantly differwnt than that of control(P>0.05).Furthermore, the average length of ileum villus from adding 1% and 1.5% group were not significantly different(P>0.05) than that of control. In conclusion, supplementing potassium diformat to the basic diet could increase the length of intestinal villus in some extent; This may be the basic reason for the improvement of animal's digestion and health by supplementation of potassium diformat; The optimal adding levels were 1.5% and 2%,.an experiment was designed to study the effects of different potassium diformat level on the intestine development and digestive enzyme activity of weaned piglets. Weaned piglets grouping were the same as the first experiment. The results showed that the activity of amylase, trypsinase and lipase had no significant difference in the experiment phase. Conclusion:Dietary potassium diformat supplementation can improve height villous in different intestinal tract, no effect on protease activity, amylase activity and lipase activity of intestine in piglets in development stage.
