Research On Adaptability Of Newly Introduced Tobacco Varieties In Xiangxi

Tobacco industry has a long past records in Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi. Yunyan 87 cultivasr is welcomed in farmers because of its operation, good appearance. However, there are many problems such as varieties degradation, pests, and products with large customer requirements because of planting the cultivar in long time. It is necessary to accelerate varieties of flue-cured tobacco simplifications of new application promotion in Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi. From 2006 to 2008, several varieties were induced into Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi. Based on the regional tests, HY-97, YY-97, K326 and KRK26 were tested for resistance and adaptability and requiring fertilizer characteristics during 2009-2010.Research results showed that the adaptability of four varieties HY-97, YY-97, KRK26 and K326 can foster seedlings healthy, strong and out of the smoke through commercialization. Requiring fertilizer showed that the four varieties are with the increase of fertilization level and plant height, leaf area increased, but also increased the range increased, especially after the plant with proximal from the aspects of agronomic characters can be seen. Cultivars KRK26 and K326 were more increased compared to HY-97 and YY-97. According to the economic characters, the yield of HY-97 and KRK26 were increased with increased nitrogen. When 6.75 kilograms pure nitrogen per mu was used, the yield and value was highest with 173.67 kilograms and 1645.75 yuan. The value of YY-97 was not obvious difference among three different nitrogen levels, and was the highest in 6.25 kilograms pure nitrogen. Yield of K326 was increased with increased nitrogent, but the value was more and more less because of more tobacco leaf number and low baking quality. YY-97 and HY-97 were good agronomy characteristics among four cultivars.Research results show that of YY-97, HY-97, K326 and KRK26 were resistant to Tobacco Mosaic virus and Alternaria alternate.
