The Chinese bittersweet (Celasutrus angulatus Max.) is a potential insecticidal plant. The extracts of the root bark have been formulated to emulsifier concentration (EC) and mieroemulsion(ME) , and they had been developed in quantity. With respect to the use of organic solvents,these are generally disadvantageous from an environmental and cost viewpoint, Because the emulsifier concentration preparation contain dimethylbenzene, and mieroemulsion preparation have solubilizer. To solve this problem,the smoke agent of Celangulin,a new Botanical pesticide formulation that reduce the content of organic solvents,has been developed.In this study, smoke testing and efficacy evaluation with reference to national GB13917 ? 3-92, GBT17322 ? 3-98 standard. By means of ignition experiment, the optimum heating agent, screening agent and cooling agent were selected. And four kinds of smoke samples were made in different proportions with 6.2% the Celangulin original drug and the optimal auxiliaries. And Through ignition test, smoke sample measured time to ignition, smoke time, combustion temperature and combustion, determine the ratio of Oxidants(Ammonium Nitrate)and Incendiary Agen(tsawdust)as 3:2. Screening agent Ammonium Chloride and cooling agent Talc. The order of 10% Celangulins of the original drug and the 5% ammonium nitrate smoke as the main agent.Selected based on the best ratio of the main agents, which together with accelerant, fuel consumption agent, adhesion agent formulated into a smoke. Its ignition temperature was 189.6℃;determination of various physical and chemical indicators, the results showed that the effective rate 93.2%, and the smoke grain fineness was 2.27μm, moisture 0.13%, and the smoke agent of moisture absorption could normal smoke formation, the heat storage degradation rate of effective constituent was 2.26%, the self-ignition temperature 162.5℃. The results showed that the Celangulin smoke agent had good heat storage stability, security and without spontaneous combustion situation, to determine the indicators are in line with national standards.The toxicity test in the interior and pesticide experiment in the greenhouse to diamondback larvae was determined with 6.2% Celangulins smoke agent. The results showed that the morality of diamondback larvae reached 90% when the dose of smoke agent was 8g and ignited 3d. And in the greenhouse, when the dosage of Celangulins smoke agent was 2.0kg/hm2, the efficiency was about 90% after 7d. The results of toxicity test and pesticide experiment showed 6.2% Celangulins smoke agent had good control effect and it was security to the tested crops.
