A Study On Flame Detection Module Of Forest Fire Real-time Monitoring System

The wireless sensor network node for forest fire monitoring includes temperature and humidity detection module and smoke detection module.In addition,there is a very important part—the flame detection module.Flame detectors on the market are mostly used for indoor fire detection and alarm,and always have a large operating voltage,which are not suitable for outdoor environment.What's more, the detecting parts of those detectors are often together with the alarming parts,which are not suitable for wireless sensor network system.This article studied on the flame detection module of forest fire monitoring system on wireless sensor network,and made a brief introduction on the detection module on the basis of analysis of the optical properties of thermal radiation when the forest fire broke out,and chose the appropriate sensor for the design of the flame detection module,and then did a large number of experiments to know the specifications of the sensor output signals,which were the basis of designing the signal processing circuit.The paper designed the signal processing circuits,on which some fire detection experiments were done.In addition,the sesors were connected to the wireless sensor network nodes and the data transmitting through the GPRS to the PC were acquired.What's more,this article did a system debugging of the flame detection module,and gave a simple design of the fire warning by using the logic judgement function and the automatic update function of Microsoft Office Excel.Tested by experiments(the experimental temperature 20±5℃,humidity of 40±10%,a static air atmosphere),the fire of a bunch of branches(diameter of about 1 cm,length of 10cm) can be detected by the flame detection module,the maximum effective distance be detected is about 1 to 2 meters.It can meet the needs of monitoring forest fire.
