In order to investigate a breeding program fit for Holstein cattle in Xinjing Hutubi Herd farm, this study collected 19537 production records from 1973-2009 of the first, second, third herd in Xinjiang Hutubi HerdFarm, Include 8158 fat percentage records,4054 protein ratio records and 7154 records of specific gravity. This paper analyzed five non-genetic factors (herd, year, season, parity and first calving age) react on milk production, calving interval, fat percentage, protein ratio and specific gravity by use of variance analysis procedure of disequilibrium design in SAS software. The results obtained are summarized as follows:Effect of different herds, years, seasons, parities and first calving ages on milk yield were highly significant (P<0.01). Effect of different herds, years, seasons, first calving ages and milk yields on calving interval were highly significant (P<0.01), effect of different parities on calving interval was significant (P<0.05). Effect of different herds, years and seasons on fat percentage were highly significant (P<0.01), effect of different parities and first calving ages on fat percentage were not significant (P>0.05). Effect of different years and seasons on protein ratio were highly significant (P<0.01), effect of different herds on protein ratio was significant (P<0.05), effect of different parities and first calving ages on protein ratio were not significant (P>0.05). Effect of different herds, years, seasons and parities on specific gravity were highly significant (P<0.01), effect of different first calving ages on specific gravity was not significant (P>0.05).Divided the fixed effect according to each factor's difference of significant, variance composition, heritability of 305-day milk yield, calving interval, fat percentage, protein ratio and specific gravity were estimated using animal model of single trait repeated observations, and fixed effect sizes, inbreeding coefficient, and breeding value (305-day milk yield, calving interval, fat percentage, protein ratio and specific gravity) were estimated using BLUP animal model by the MTDFREML program, genetic correlactions were estimated using animal model of two traits repeated observations. We have also calculated the total performance index of Holstein according to the breeding value of each trait, and constructed a nucleus herd with cow in herd.Heritability of 305-day milk yield, calving interval, fat percentage, protein ratio and specific gravity were 0.40, 0.17,0.42,0.26 and 0.31, respectively, inbreeding coefficient of herd is 0.000264.The first ten bulls arrayed by TPI were 11101905,94107,11196529,11199995,9608,97314,11199069,90131,9257,9470,TPIwas1107.6,851.1,840.7,772.5,740.8,587.9, 541.1,528.0,520.9,510.1, respectively. The cow arrayed first ten were 120060052,120030076,120040062,120050152, 320030159,220053349,120040003,120040007,120040014,120050081, and their TPI was 1789.4,1610.5,1563.7,1528.0, 1454.2,1416.6,1410.1,1407.9,1347.8,1299.6.407 dairy (TPI>400) were selected to set up nucleus herd. The means of milk yield, fat percentage, protein ratio and TPI were 826.9,0.054,-0.011 and 703.5, respectively.
