The leguminous Glycyrrhiza liquorice, is widely distributed in France, Italy, the former Soviet Republics, Spain, Iraq and China[1]. There are about 30 kinds of glycyrrhiza in this world, and 3 genus in china. The modern pharmacology research shows that there are many functions, such as anti-ulcer, anti-virus, resistant pathogenic microorganisms and nti-arrhythmia of licorice plants. It also have cough expectorant, liver protection, detoxification and other biological activity. There are many reports of licorice species in home and abroad, but the research on the leaves of Glycyrrhiza inflata from Xinjiang province has rarely been reported. In this paper, t a more systematic chemistry had been made on the leaves of Glycyrrhiza inflata .he system solvent extraction, normal phase and reversed phase silica gel column chromatography, HPLC and other modern separation were used techniques, From 65% acetone extracts of Glycyrrhiza inflata leaves, eleven compounds were isolated by chemical and modern spectroscopic 6 compounds were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectral methods. The 6compounds were identified as: 3-hydroxy,Δ12-oleanene (1), 2-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-ethyl dotriacotanoate (2), p-methoxybenzaldehyde (3), p-hydroxyphenylethyl alcohol (4), 4′-methoxyflavone (5) , linoleic acid (6). Compounds 1,2,3,4and 5 were isolated from this plant for the first time.In this experiment, the crude extract, petroleum ether extract and ethyl acetate extracts were adopted for antimicrobial activity by filter paper diffusion method, with a concentration of 1mg/ml kanamycin sulfate solution as a contrast. And six strains: the BS, BM, E.coli, CA, CT, and SA.The results showed that there was an antibacterial activity of crude extracts, but it did not inhibit the growth of fungi, which provides scientific material for further development and utilization of G1ycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.Tobacco, a traditional Chinese medicine, is first appeared in the ancient Chinese medicinal literature JinYueQuanShu. And had been used to detumescence, detoxification, pesticides in clinical. In this paper, the tobacco samples (Nicotiana tabacum L) were collected in different ecological zones in Hubei province. The volatile components of tobacco were analyzed by simultaneous distillation extraction and gas chromatography - mass spectrometry in conjunction with the system (GC-MS) to establish a quantitative evaluation of tobacco quality. As a result of regional soil conditions, climate, topography and other differences, some unique elements were contained in cultivation with different parts and different types of tobacco. Summed up the more suitable area that the same variety of tobacco grown in.
