Cardamine violifolia, a perennial plant, it was a sort of rare potherb resource and enriched in selenium but distributed narrow in its origin. To provide science evidence and theory support for exploiting and utilizing the wild vegetable resource, the morphology characters, distribution area as well as life species were investigated, and original life environment, reproduce nature were researched, nutritional components and its relation with selenium were analyzed. At the same time ,the effects of different selenium treatments on protective enzyme activity and other physiological characteristic in Cardamine violifolia seedling, using Na2SeO3 as the selenium source. Mostly the results was as the following:1.The bionomics of Cardamine violifoliaCardamine violifolia is up to 5095cm tall. The caudex is columniform, grossness, hairless, and without cleavage or minority 2-3 loaf cleavage, the caudex which likes root is obvious. The leaves have two shapes that heart type or near roundness palmate vein. The nervation is palmated, the petiole is up to 2-5cm long and has wing. The plant has terminal raceme, the white flower has 4 sub-circular petal and 4 green or yellow sepals with balmy . The ovary is epigynous. The fruit is silique, and it is someflate with the shape of slight cylinder. There are 1824 brownish seeds which surface is relative smoothness.On natural conditions, Cardamine violifolia multiplied mainly by alimentative reproduction. The reproduction ability was so strong that the buds in the basal stem and the root could grow up as well as those in the stem and branches. During March bottom to July bottom it is reproductive growth stage , and then others is lengthy vegetative growth phase. Namely the plant live through the winter with seedling, the year ensuing March when the plant growth has grown to 13 unchopped leaf it begin floral stalk development. April to May is florescence, June to July is fruit, the life history of plants presented as perennial.It was a sort of representative be fond of shade-demanding plant, their biomass were directly influenced by moisture .At shading washy condition ,the plant growed all right, Cardamine violifolia intolerance high temperature, but it has got definite adaptation on the versus low temperature.2. the nutritional ingredient of Cardamine violifoliaCardamine violifolia are rich in moisture, protein, soluble sugar, amino acid, cevitamie acid, cellulose and selenium, thereof content seperatly were 89.66%,9.23mg/g, 0.71%,16.64g/100g, 103.76g/100g, 10.14%,399.54μg/g as well.Even cevitamic acid, cellulose and selenium content were apparently higher than uniformity vegetable, it has some value in utilizing and exploiting.3.Effects of different selenuim treatment on antioxidase activity and physiology parameter in Cardamine violifoliaThe each physiology parameter appears to be of different change, chlorophyllous content gradualy heighten at≦24.0mgSe·L-1, but whe the selenium content reached≧ 30.0 mgSe·L-1 it droped. Soluble protein and amino acid gross keep increasing along with selenium content , but the change with amino acid gross is not obvious. The content of soluble sugar reach the max when low selenium (≦6.0mgSe·L-1) , and then gradualy decrease, all treats with selenium have highten than the comparison.The effects of selenium treatment on SOD activity were not obvious in Cardamine violifolia, hardly appear to be of scale thereof activity down done at high selenium(≧ 30.0mgSe·L-1) ; the effects of CAT activity were not obvious too; the POD activity was indicative of crescent trend amid-grade selenium strength (≦18.0 mgSe·L-1) , then depressed, every treat was tower than the comparison. Selenium was able to restrain MDA distinctness, increase content of proline.The effects of temperature on physiology metabolism in Cardamine violifolia was not clearly, but some parameters such as soluble sugar content, POD activity and proline content at low temperature were higher than high temperature, plant appear to be of some cold resistance.
