Application Effect Of Chinese Herb Feed Additives On Growing-Finishing Pigs

32 crossbred pigs (Duroc×Yorkshire×Landrace,15kg) were used in the experiment in order to study the effects of the new feed additives-the Chinese herb feed additive on growth ,digestion, meat qualities of pigs. The pigs were divided into 2 groups (1 treatment groups and one control group) randomly. Each group included 16 crossbred pigs, two replicates. The feeding trial was divided into 3 growing periods 15~30kg, 30~ 60kg, 60~90kg, to determine their performance. Digestion trial was conducted during them idle period of e ach growing period. At the end of the Digestion trial, for pigs in treatment groups and control group slaughter test was conducted. The results showed that:Average daily gain( ADG) among two groups had no significant differences (p>0.05) during the 15~30kg and 30~60kg growing periods. While comparing with the control group, the Chinese herb feed additive group were increased by 11.66%(p<0.05) during the 60~90kg growing period. And during the whole testing periods, comparing with the control group, ADG in Chinese herb feed additive group were increased by 6.79% (P<0.05 ), feed conversion was decreased by 2.07%, feed cost was decreased by 7.14% per kg body weight gain. The rate of scouring in Chinese herb feed additive group was lowest, 1.38%.Digestibility of protein(DP):During the 15~30kg growing period, DP in each group had no significant difference (p>0.05). During the 30~60kg growing period, the Chinese herb feed additive group was increased by 6.90% (p<0.05) compared with the control group. During the 60~90kg growing period, the Chinese herb feed additive group was increased by 4.33% (p<0.05) , compared with the control group. And the digestibility of EE,CF,ASH, Ca, P were increased.Compared with the control group, lean meat percentage, rib-eye areas of the Chinese herb feed additive group were increased by 4,92%(p<0.05),11.78%(p<0.05) respectively. The value of the marble veins in the Chinese herb feed additive group was no significant difference (p>0.05) compared with the control group. The remains of the drugs and the heavy metal of the Chinese herb feed additive group could be conform to the standard of "no Public Harm Food"The Chinese herb feed additive can be used to alternatives performance antibiotics and antibacterial additive. They can improve pig's and economical benefit.
