Study On Introduction, Selection And Application Of Wild Herbaceous Ground Cover Plants In Beijing Area

Ground cover plant is the basic material in urban landscape.The introduction of Wild herbaceous Species is a economical and effective means to improve urban environment and enhance the level of urban landscape.Through the investigation on the wild herbaceous ground cover Species in Beijing and around Beijing area,53 spieces have been introduced in Beijing.After one year's observation of phenophase,the rate of survival,the growing situation to the over summer ground cover plants,the habitats of ground cover plants and the growing situation to the over winter ground cover plants,selected wild herbaceous ground cover Species elementary.Assessmenst of the ability of drought tolerance ,high temperature tolerance ,shade tolerance and ecological benefits indicated:( 1 ) Carex lanceolata,Iris ruthenica var nana,Carex leucochlora,Zoysia japonica,Carex heterostachya have the strongest drought tolerance; Poa crymophila,Poa pratensis(contrast),Poa pratensis(wild)have the stronger drought tolerance. Potentilla flagellaris,Potenlilla reptans,Fragaria orientalis,Glechoma longituba,Duchesnea indica have the lowest drought tolerance.(2) Duchesnea indica,Glechoma longituba,Potentilla flagellaris,Carex heterostachya have the highest shade tolerance and can be applicated under high shade; Iris ruthenica var nana,Carex subpediformis, Carex lanceolata,Potenlilla reptans,Carex leucochlora,Fragaria orientalis have higher shade tolerance. Poa pratensis(contrast),Poa pratensis(wild),Zoysia japonica,Buchloe dactyloides,Iris lactevar chinensis,Poa crymophila have lowest shade tolerance and cannot be applicated under shade.(3) Potentilla flagellaris,Carex subpediformis,Carex lanceolata,Carex leucochlora have the highest high temperature tolerance; Poa pratensis(wild),Poa pratensis(contrast),Potenlilla reptans,Poa...
