The digestive system of weaned piglets has not yet well developed and the ration consists mainly of high digestible and absorbable feedstuff. The nutritive index when designing a diet was mainly concerned digestive energy, crude protein, Ca, P and Amino acid. As high fiber content may decrease the digestion of feed, fiber was much less concerned normally. However, because of restriction of feed resource at present and high cost of ideal ration there was still a shortage of better ideal ration with cheap price and good quality in the market up to now, and high diarrhea of weaned piglets in practice would be directly related with it .The purposes of this research were to evaluate nutrition value of Alfalfa leaf meal (ALM) in weaned piglets and study its application so as to provide scientific data in ration designing. Meanwhile, Alfalfa leaf meal could substitute part of soybean cake, this would be of great real meaning to relaxing of protein resource shortage, lowing the cost of animal raising, increasing competitive ability in international market and promoting western prataculture of china and to finding new way for the balanceable development of alfalfa industry, animal raising and feedstuff industry. All the research consisted of three parts as following:First The results of proximate analyses of ALM was: crude protein 18.68%, crudefiber 20.74%, crudefat 1.84%, ash 12.22%, water 13.66%, Ca 2.18%, P 0.177%; 17 essential Amino acids(%) were: Asp. 2.253, Thr. 0.727, Ser. 0.781, Glu.2.271, Pro.0.854, Gly.0.888, Ala. 0.885, Cys. 0.048, Val. 0.938, Met. 0.343, Ile. 0.773, L-eu.1.95, Tyr.0.631, phe. 0.937, Lys. 0.801, His. 0.27, Arg.1.293; total 16.09.Second 32 health purebred Yorkshire piglets weaned at 35d of age were randomly divided into four groups by weight and cote, feeding corn-bean-fish meal without ALP foundation Ration, and added Ration 5%, 7.5%, 10% ALM respectively. The results showed that growth performance differences among groups were not significant. Weight gain were 7.5% Group 54.1kg >5% Group 53.7kg>0 Ration 46.5kg>10% Group 43.1kg. The 5%Group was the best according to the comprehensive compare of weight gain and diarrhea rate. This showed it was feasible to add ALP in the ration of weaned piglets; there was a deceasing trend in feed conversion rate as the ALM addition increased, but≤7.5% ALP in the ration did not have much effect on the taste and growth performance of weaned piglets.Third 48 health purebred Yorkshire piglets weaned at 35d of age were randomly...
