Cause Of Dystocia In Cattle After Artificial Insemination During Last Five Years In Liangzhou Area

This experiment was designed to search the reason of dystocia in cattle of Artificial Insemination in Liangzhou area which caused a low economical development. We had studied about 12,064 cattle which were Artificial Insemination raised in about 8 counties in this area during 1999 and 2004. The results showed that the number of the fetus which the cattle delivered caused dystocia in a significant deviation way(p>0.05);the pregnant animals' body weight and age were also caused different rates of dystocia; raised in cowhouse have more possibility of having dystocia than those of depasturing on grassland (8.16% and 3.48% respectively);before Artificial Insemination which were trouble with endometritis, coleitis, subinvolution ,pelvic fracture , vaginamatter and boss, birth injured, foetus lemma resorting etc. the dystocia were obvious increased(from 11.57%to 5.91%);besides the season affected the rate of dystocia; the affection of proficiency of Artificial Insemination on the rate of dystocia were invisible.Therefore,it is bring forward some ameliorate means and methods in order to accelerate the developing of breeding of cattle in liangzhou area ,even in gansu province.
