| According to the requirements and quality of perilla exported to Japan,we havesummarized the suitable technology of Perilla planting and constructed 4 standardizedprocess bases in Beijing,Yantai,Guangzhou and Fujian respectively to keep the balance ofthe output of the leaves.At the same time,we confirmed the optimal model by combiningcharacteristics of this area with the key technology of influencing the quality of perilla.Thekey technology includes the method of growing seedlings,greenhouse,temperaturemanagement, management of water, plastic film, fertiltzer, culture, lighting,prevention andcure of plant diseases and pests,harvesting and processing, pesticide,archive managementand a synthetical study of prevention and cure of the diseases and pests etc.With the application of the technique, perilla planting has obtained better social andeconomical benefits. The total planting area of perilla was 60hm2 in 2004.The amount ofthe leaves was over 800 million. The total amount of foreign exchange earned was overRMB 40 million.This technique has spread step by step to each standardized process base.It providesguidance for the export of perilla to Japan.
