The invention and usage of the pesticides had greatly promoted the agricultural production, and given us great profits. But there are also many negative results, they pollute the surroundings, destroy the natural balance, thus they threat the human health.Today, the study of the pesticide residues in the Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) is mainly concentrated on detection and analysis, however, there are few articles about the most effective method of pesticide residues removal. In order to make the best of medical material, improve the quality of the Chinese patent medicines, keep our human healthy and expand the export quantity of the CHM and Chinese patent medicines, so it's necessary to look for simple and efficient method of reducing the pesticide residues.In this paper , we washed Radix et rhizoma salviae miltiorrhizae, Radix angelicae sinensis, Chelidonium majus with QX-1 cleansing solution and find out that QX-1 cleansing solution is useful to removal pesticide residues, especially for the kind of root CHM such as Radix et rhizoma salviae miltiorrhizae, Radix angelicae sinensis etc. It can not only achieve government standards, but also the quality of the active component is no change. The method is simple, cheap and have a good value in use.Through the determination of the pesticide residues in 40 kinds of CHM of different medication parts, we know that the pesticide residues in Chinese rude drug to market is unevenness, but the general level is decrease. The level of pesticide residues in groups of plant, leaf, fruit and peel can achieve internal standards and part of abroad standards. The pesticide residues in part of flower, fruit and root CHM is still beyond of government standards. The detection rate of pyrethroid pesticide residues is very low, and there is no CHM beyond of government standards.In our study, we established the GC method to determine 8 kinds of organochlorine and 4 kinds of pyrethroid pesticide residues in CHM. Pesticide residues were extracted by ultrasound from CHM,and sodium sulfate solution , the extracts were cleaned up by florisil column , then abstracted and condensed. Analytical screening was determined by gas chromatography using SE-54 capillary column equipped with electron-capture detector, Splitless stream sampling.The recovery obtained from spiked samples at three concentration levels (high, middle and low )were in the ranges of 80.6- 119.8%,with relative standard deviations of 0.7-9.5%,Limits of detection were 0.0005-0.007mg.kg-1 most pesticides were separated in baseline, the RSD were all above 1.5. Compared to Ch.P, the procedure of this method is simple, high efficiency, few loss, and have a necessary use value.The purpose of this study is to find out a way to deal with the CHM which the pesticide residues are beyond the government standers. The use of QX-1 cleansing solution confirmed that it has efficiency on parts of pesticide residues in CHM, and was worthy of further study. This has a very important sense for improving the export quantity of the CHM and the quality of the Chinese patent medicines, ensure our human health and improving the quality of our life.
