| Modern monitoring technology has become an integration of many advanced technologies from a simple method of sensor measuring or data processing. Aimed to improve the condition of practical production in agriculture, a structural scheme of wireless telemonitoring system for agricultural environment was designed. Subsequently, a Web-based and GPRS-based wireless telemonitoring system for agricultural environment was worked up, which is one of the modern monitoring systems integrated with environmental factor measuring technology, modern transducer technology, wireless communication technology, and computer network information technology.In structure design, this system consists of three modules: terminal module of data acquisition and sending, database server module of data receiving and storing, and Web server module of data management. An integrated technical solution of data acquisition-transmission-management is provided.In realization function, this system carries on all-weather and real-time monitoring to the remote terminal environmental factors; and long-distance transmission, storage, and processing the data of environmental factor value; any browser user logged in the system's Web site, can achieve information management functions including online overview, historical inquiries, dynamic analysis, export download of terminal monitoring environmental data, and user authorization, etc; and by setting the parameters of data intelligent analysis judgment, the information on remote diagnosis and decision support can be timely and effectively feed back to users.Some advanced technologies used in the system can be regarded as the integrated innovations in the field of agricultural monitoring, which mainly include the following points:1) According to features of agricultural environmental monitoring, the RTU(Remote Terminal Unit) device is integrated in the system, which is widely used in the field of industrial measurement and control.2) GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) wireless communication technology is first adopted to transmit information of agricultural environment. The system achieved remote monitoring by seamless connection of wireless mobile network and the Internet, which overcomes the limitations of traditional on-site closed monitoring.3) Integrating network database programming technologies, the system achieved network database management, which is used to store and manage massive long-term data from remote monitoring terminal.4) Integrating Web-based data management technologies, the system achieved cluster management to distributed remote monitoring terminals. Internet users can access remote terminal data anytime and anywhere; and managers can simultaneously manage information of multiple monitoring sites.After realization, the monitoring system has been put a large number of engineering applications, which greatly verified and improved the realizing methods and key technologies of the system. The monitoring system currently has put in practice in Liaoning province, Hebei province, Guangdong province, Beijing, and some of other areas. Lots of practice shows that this system is suitable for the majority of agricultural environment monitoring applications.Finally, the research content, technical realization and practical application of the system are summed up. The development trend of remote monitoring technologies is prospected, and the future development direction of the system is designed. |
