Var.capitata L. is a vegetable cultivation in different parts of China. Annual production of vegetables occupies an extremely important position. The temperature of winter and spring is instable in Guizhou, The weak winter varieties are prone to immature bolting, such as "Jingfeng No.1", "Huang Miao", etc. Therefore, Strong winter breeding varieties suitable for local cultivation and related research is extremely important.Combined with the cabbage breeding and practical production in Guizhou province, Qian-gan No.3, made by Cabbage Project Group, Guizhou Provincial Horticultural Institute, is a hybridized combination which comes from two self-incompatible (SI) strains, g47-4-3-7 and a2-13-32. And it passed the regional test and production experiment in Liuzhi, Guanling, Guiyang ,Zunyi and other counties (cities) from 1997 to 2000. The results showed that the time of maturing of Qian-gan No.3 is 513 days earlier, the output increases 13.86% and the rate of sprouting before it becomes mature decreased over 50% than the comparison, 'Jing-feng No.1'. It grows into a ball tightly, the resistance is strong, and the economical character is fine. It is suitable in Bijie, the middle and the north of Guizhou, the medium and high elevation areas of Liupanshui City. It was approved by Guizhou province in February 6, 2006.The research showed that the target of fructification of self-incompatible strains, a2-13-32, E4-2-f and g47-4-3-7, increased separately 36.4%, 80.8% and 266.7% by spraying mixed water-solution of 5% brine and 0.3% borax. To a certain extent, the self-incompatibility of cabbage can be broken. It can improve the yield of self-incompatibility and F1 seed, improve seed quality by spraying fertilizer water-solution of phosphorus, potassium, molybdenum, boron and zinc in the earlier of bloom and pod period.The problem of low yield in Guizhou rainy climate solved effectively. The best effect can be obtained by spraying the mixed fertilizers (all mentioned above) water-solution. The result showed that the yield, kernel weight, the potential of the germination and the percentage of the germination increases separately 58.3%, 7.4%, 17.0%and 13.5%than the comparison (pure water). The relevant target of hybrid F1 increases separately 83.1%, 13.2%, 17.0% and 12.2%.
