55 alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)varieties were tested and synthetic evaluated on winter survival rate, reviving stage, plant height, growth speed. regeneration speed, branch number, stem / leaf, fresh yield, clipping number of yield traits and CP, ADF, NDF, Ga, P of quality factors during 2005-2006. The Correlation between the factors of component yield and quality were analysed. The results as follows:1. The adaptiveness of Eureka, CF-4, CF-3, CF-9, Jiamusi and CF-12 was better with winter survival rate reached 100 percent, and reviving stage was earlier.2. The systematic clusterings of yield traits (plant height, growth speed. regeneration speed, branch number, stem / leaf, fresh yield) and quality factors (CP, ADF, NDF, Ga, P) were analysed in 55 tested alfalfa varieties. Eureka, CF-10, Resis, CF-4, IS-3, Saertu, CF-3, CF-6, Beaver, CF-11, CF-5, CF-7, CF-9, Accalaim, Gannong No.3 and Argentina were better in the multi-factorial evaluation of yield traits. And Chabei, Ladak, Weinan, Loc puits, Resis, IS-1, Argentina, Holand, Algoquin, CF-10, Beaver, Jiamusi, Grimm, Changli, Ningxian, Concreep and As were better in quality traits.3. The yield traits and quality performances were evaluated using grey relevancy and decision making method of with weight information of Fuzzy Mathematics. The results showed that NDF, ADF and fresh yield had the highest effect on comprehensive production performance. Through account of comprehensive evaluation model Ladak, Eureka, CF-4, Deft, Beaver, Resis, Argentina, Chabei, Qianguo, Changli and Longdong alfalfa had good complex character and superiority.4. The optimization multiple linear regression eguations of yield and quality traits were founded. Path analysis between yield traits and CP, ADF, NDF, Ga, P was studied, which showed that the relative importance of the six yield factors with CP was in order of plant height > stem / leaf > fresh yield > growth speed > branch number > regeneration speed. The relative importance with ADF was in order of plant height > stem / leaf > fresh yield > growth speed, and had no remarkable correlation with branch number and regeneration speed. The relative importance with NDF was in order of plant height > branch number > fresh yield > growth speed > stem / leaf > regeneration speed. The relative importance with Ca was in order of plant height > stem / leaf > growth speed > fresh yield > branch number > regeneration speed. The relative importance with P was in order of regeneration speed > fresh yield > growth speed > stem / leaf > branch number > plant height.
