Study On The Method Choice Of Proper Culture Medium Of Three Species Of Ornamental Dendrobium

In order to protect Dendrobium's resource and cultivate high quality plant,it is especiallyimportant to select culture media. Such better culture media can provide the theories forindustrialization of research.This subject selected Dendrobium crepidatum,Dendrobium chrysotoxum andDendrobium trigonopus these 3 Dendrobium plant,and through the study on nutritioncontent,the growth index,soluble sugar, soluble starch,soluble protein and photosyntheticcharacteristics,Ch1 content with difference media,this gain the better media.At the sametime,measuring the physical and chemical characters of media,in order to achieve the mediacondition of Dendrobium's cultivation.The studing results were as follows:1 Under the ten media, coconut coir was the better media with the three Dendrobium.Orchid stone was the best media with Dendrobium crepidatum and Dendrobium trigonopus.Orchid stone:bark tree(1:1) was the best media with Dendrobium chrysotoxurn. Coconutcoir:bark tree were the worse media with the three Dendrobium.2 The single media were better than the compound media with Dendrobiumcrepidatum.Between the sihgle media,the orchid stone was the best of the media and thesphagum moss was the worse.With the compound media,coconut coir:bark tree were betterthan the orchid stone:bark tree.During the orchid:bark tree,the orchid:bark=1:1 was theworse.In the orchid stone with Dendrobium crepidatum, photosynthesis was 4.788μmol·m^-2·s^-1,transpiration rate was 0.2833mmol·m^-2·s^-1.3 With the compound media,orchid:bark tree were better than coconut coir.During thesingle media,orchid and coconut coir were the best,the sphagnum moss was the worse.The bestcompound media of Dendrobium chrysotoxum was orchid stone:bark tree=1:1.In thismedia,N,P,K content were the hightest, photosynthesis was 6μmol·m^-2·s^-1,transpiration rate was0.28mmol·m^-2·s^-1,ch1 a and chl b content were the hightest.4 There was not significant difference between the single media and the compound mediawith Dendrobium trigonopus.The best media of Dendrobium trigonopus was orchid stoneoWiththe single media,sphagnum moss was the worst and the orchid:bark tree was the worst in thecompound media.In the orchid stone, chl a and chl b content were the hightest, photosynthesiswas 2.64μmol·m^-2·s^-1.5 Sphagnum moss was used widely in the culture of orchid an present.But it was not thebest culture media with orchid.
